Sam is the best! He was our ride share driver on a super busy Philly Saturday. We were looking for a place to eat and he happened to own a restaurant. He walked us in, set the table and gave us a discount! Food and service was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed the turkey sandwich, French onion soup, tomato soup crab cakes and grilled cheeses!

We love this place! Great local bar with fantastic food. Normally go for brunch on Sunday and always get the chicken and waffles. The waffles are perfectly made and the chicken has an unreal breading on it. The staff is always very friendly and on top of their game, and they always have different beers rotating on tap. Highly recommend!

We’ve been coming here for over a decade. Great community feel. Good variety in the menu. Recently had the buffalo chicken cheesesteak which was next level. And my kid loves the mac and cheese. Texas burger is also a great classic.
Good place to grab a beer and some food. The crab cake was really good!

I'm new to new wave but I absolutely love the vibe here especially for game days. There's lots of regulars that are here to watch their team but there's so much room inside you can see a tv from anywhere. Recently discovered the dart board and pool tables that are tucked way in the back. So far we've tried the cheesesteak and the wings and both were 10/10. The wings were crispy and a really good portion, they serve by weight rather than by wing count so you don't get jipped on small birds. The cheesesteak was huge as expected and comes with fries. I recommend it with provolone. Lots of beer options, several local.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Really great draft list, lots of bottles and cans available, TVs everywhere and cool art on the walls. Dogs are allowed outside at the tables and they bring you treats :)The cheesesteak was soooo good I can’t wait to try other food. Energy here on game day is unreal. 11/10

New Wave is a terrific neighborhood bar and grill. Full bar with a tremendous selection of beers on tap, and a great menu of items from salads to pizzas to sandwiches to full entrees, all of which is clearly a cut above “bar food”. Even though I’m not from the neighborhood, I have yet to meet a staff member who didn’t treat me like I WAS. It’s just a great place to go!
