Owner espouses anti-Semitic and homophobic prejudices. As a gay Jew they came across as hurtful to the LGBTQ+ and Jewish communities. Love the bagels but can’t patronize this store anymore.
Excellent bagels, but at times Nick is out of certain selections, especially when busy.
Amongst the best bagels I have ever Had! We have such a gem in Philly. And the tuna. Oh the delicious tuna. So worth it. This is a must-visit bagel shop.

New York Bagel Bakery serves some of the best and most authentic bagels in the Philadelphia area, with a perfect balance of light dough and good texture. Their lox is a standout, generously portioned and expertly prepared. The bakery boasts friendly and helpful staff, fair prices, and exceptional service. Get these bagels warm as they come out of the oven, along with bialys and delicious whitefish spread. Everything, plain, sesame, pumpernickel, and wheat bagels are all soft and chewy on the inside and toasty on the outside. The shop is small but offers fresh baked bagels, muffins, and specialty cream cheese. Though closed on Saturdays, it's well worth a visit for their amazing bagels and warm atmosphere.
