Probably the best and only $4 sandwich I’ve ever had. The menu feels like you’re taking a step back in time with the prices. It’s a dive, don’t expect gourmet. Service is great, food is great, and we will be coming back for a drink next time we are in the area.

What can I say about Nickels that isn't great... Starting with the Owner, who is a great guy that has a great local establishment. Always drink specials & reasonable prices. The menu is below w great prices & food is made fresh daily. The Roast Beef Sliders are delicious. He is always doing cookouts & complimentary food on Holidays & for Game Days. When I stopped in on Sunday to say hello, he bought me a drink & there was Free ?.. Does it get any better....

Greatest Roast beef Sandwiches and the best Staff and owners in their Business! Joe is a down to Earth South Philly Guy and his Wife is always ready to make her customers happy and it shows in their Blue collar work ethic! This place believes that you might come in as a stranger but you leave as a FRIEND!
