A fantastic spot. The food and service were fabulous. You can choose how spicy you want your food, from a scale of 1-7 which I love cause I can’t handle spicy. The atmosphere was great too, just missing a little music for mood. Absolutely recommend for any and all!

The food was fantastic and the service was near perfect albeit slow to start. If you're looking for a family oriented dinner or trying something new for a nice date night, Nirvana is definitely one of the best restaurants in Chestnut Hill/

We always get takeout so I can't comment on the dining experience. The food is consistently good - so much better than Tiffin. Solid Indian in Chestnut Hill.

They sat us right next to the door. When requesting maximum spice we received bland dishes. Waiter was a bit behind the ball. Likely to not return.

Food was great, service was equally as good. The atmosphere was okay we had a seat next to the door and every 5 minutes somebody came in inquiring about a table which left us cold because of the air.

Absolutely love this spot. Food is delicious, staff are wonderful and the restaurant is inviting and cozy! So many gluten free options too which is great for my husband with Celiac. Will definitely continue to be a go-to spot!Dietary restrictions: So many options for vegetarians, vegans & celiacs! I am a vegetarian and my husband is celiac and the menu is clearly marked and there are lots of options!

To my friends in Glenside/Chestnut Hill/ Mt. Airy.I tried a new restaurant in Chestnut Hill called Nirvana.Excellent authentic Indian food. The restaurant was scrupulously clean. Even had a bidet in the restroom! We had a crispy tangy eggplant appetizer that was crunchy and delicious. The one appetizer was plenty to share for two.We had the bread basket which allowed you to pick three different Indian style breads. We also had two entrees. One was a goat biryani and the other was a chicken tikka saag. All was served with a nice yogurt sauce on the side. I have not seen goat on a menu since I went to a Jamaican restaurant in NYC.The atmosphere was quietly elegant. They gave me no reason to not return when I might be in the mood for Indian food.It is BYOB, so the cost, while not cheap, was affordable without the bar tab.

The food and this charming Indian restaurant is truly amazing. I had the chili chicken W/ peppers and onions(mild) for a starter. That very tasty!! My entree was the shrimp tikki maslsa(spicy). It was so delicious. I would definitely order it over and over. My friend got the salmon tikki maslsa(mild) and was quite the entire time she was eating...lol. The ambience was pretty. The tables with linen tablecloths and napkins. The elegant chairs. Are all chef's kiss. The service top teir as well. Go and visit this stellar restaurant.
