I happen to be a local delivery driver and really this is just for the other delivery drivers that I accepted an order for $10 the other night and they reduced it and took the tip completely out. I'll never deliver Indian food again.

My husband and I frequent the Nirvana in Chestnut Hill. We visited the 3rd street location and I must say I was highly disappointed. The Gobi Manchurian tasted like it had been refried. The vegetable pakora tasted like it may have been previously frozen, and the lamb Bobi tasted bitter and sour nothing seemed fresh or made . We thought that we would have the same experience as we had at the other location but unfortunately we were sadly mistaken. The recipes should be the same across the board and this experience at this location has left much to be desired we won’t be back.

I got goat biryani. It tasted stale and was very salty. Mid at best. The raita was sweet (which is very weird).

We went there for dinner at around 7:30 pm and we asked them if their food is spicy, they said, it’s mild but they can make it spicy. They served the food with so much love and care that we never felt that we are eating at a restaurant. We would surely go there as a family. Wonderful service and sumptuous food.

Ordered delivery. Way over priced. Not a lot of flavor and too much salt.

Delicious takeout. No ambience to speak of (no tables either). A boon to the neighborhood.

My partner and I were visiting from New York and wanted to order takeout. We have some pretty good Indian Food in NYC and this one is on the same level. Authentic. Delicious. Just what we needed. Friendly staff.

Great location - and a charming if somewhat cramped dine in location. The Gobhi Manchurian is excellent! The other dishes we tried were very good - but salty (I had the malai kofta).

This place is so incredible that it makes me actually want to try new dishes because I can trust that they will always be flavorful and delicious. I get takeout because I live nearby and hope they stick around for a very long time. Tonight I got the Samosa Chat and Peshwari Naan, both of which I'd never had before, and will definitely be ordering again. Also, the portions are generous & super reasonably priced. You won't regret ordering from here.

Food was good. Even on the medium spice level it was a little too much but I still enjoyed the authentic nature of the dishes. My concern was sanitation. My friend and I had used their restroom and there was no hand soap. After seeing their cooks go to the same restroom, we were curious on how they stayed sanitized.Since we sat indoors we could hear the sneezing going on in the kitchen among the food (we all sneeze, you do what you gotta do) and that caused for some concern.Waiter was very kind and attentive, but after asking for a drink, it was brought out 20 minutes later even though we were the only customers eating at the establishment. And the water that is served is room temp with no ice *it’s in the 90’s outside!*.I would not eat at the actual restaurant again (seating indoors is limited with not much air conditioning up front) but I may order take out down the road.Update 3 weeks later.Ordered out to go, ordered exact same meal as last time. Same price, less amount of food was provided as compared to dining. I highly recommend to order to eat inside and just take it home with you. Also the gentleman in the kitchen was walking around with only socks on?

We love this place, although the portions tend to be on the smaller side, my husband get the butter chicken, I like the Kerala Pepper chicken, and we both like the Biryani! (Just wish there was more meat included)

Fantastic !! I have been looking for good Indian food since I moved to Philly and Nirvana did not disappoint. My friends loved it too.Wanted to update: I order from here all the time and try new things each time. For a while I had consistently good experiences but recently ordered some favorites and everything was completely different- all new sauces, different colors (neon?), paneer was dried out.. I am really disappointed as the food was not even edible.

Do not dine in during summer. It was extremely hot and there was no air circulation within the restaurant at all. The service was not the best either as the server was extremely rude. 4.7 starts for this place?! The owner should have better air conditioning installed in the place at least.

Excellent flavors, customizable spice levels. (I enjoy spicy, keep in mind their level 3 is pretty hot.)So far my favorite Indian spot in the city. Every dish was great & cooked with care. Cute atmosphere outside, resturant is tucked away on a quiet street corner. Good service.
