What a great choice. Had not been to south Phili .... Maybe ever! Noord's menu was perfect. Limited choices but a nice selection of unique options. All the food was delicious. Mussels were perfectly prepared and the tomatoes that were part of the salmon entrees were sweet and complimented the dish nicely. The service was outstanding on all counts. Go and then go back!

Amazing BYOB. We got an appetizer special for two with smoked fish a variety of ways. Tasty, colorful and just amazing! The host was so friendly and our server was on point. Will come back over and over!

Terrible service! I was really looking forward to trying this place. I was seated and waited 53 minutes for a waiter to ask me what I’d like to order—even a drink! They were not even busy, and even took time to sit and chat with other customers who had already paid, yet I was just blatantly ignored while patiently waiting for an hour until I left! Luckily there are many great restaurants in this area so you don’t have to waste your time at this place!

The food is ok but not that great. Overpriced with limited options. The owner is also very active on social media about this political views which is HUGE turn off. So many other great options nearby.

Fantastic as always, escargot and the pork loin were the stars of the show. Owners and staff are lovely and welcoming. Truly the best qualities of a local essential restaurant.

I had a great chilled tomato bisque (perfect for a summer evening) and the braised Amish chicken thighs. Perfect atmosphere in Eat Passyunk and great food.

Delicious Scandinavian cuisine in Passyunk- not much more you can ask for really. The waitstaff is so friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant is very calming. Gravlax- yes, more please.

Noord is the epitome of Millennial artisanal dining. The space is cozy with the chefs cooking openly behind the counter - the waiters are extremely personable, often sitting at your table to understand who you are before recommending food, and of course, the food they recommend is incredible every time. What's more is that if you've ever visited Holland or Scandinavia, the cuisine will transport you back instantly. I can't recommend this place enough and will keep going back every time my wife and I want the perfect date in the city.

Wanted a light lovely meal tonight and Noord did not disappoint. We sat outside even with fear of rain (we sat below the awning and it didn't rain!), got to meet the waiter Louis/Lewis (don't know spelling) whose mother-in-law inspired the squash dish we had, and met the owner and his husband the chef who made a wonderfully layered and flavored meal! The homemade barley rye bread from a local chef was amazing with the whipped butter, the escargot was lovely, but the squash was amazing, with potatoes crushed then flash fried, with barley and squash was teeming with so much flavor. Was also lovely seeing a passerby tell the owner happy birthday (it was a few days ago) and just the neighbors knowing the owners and in support of the establishment. We will be back!

If you don't already know how special this place is, then I really don't want to tell you. Only makes it harder for me to get my reservations, of which there have been close to 40 in 8 years. The owner Joncarl and head waiter (slash host-with-the-most) Louis make this place warm, inviting, and full of smiles and laughter. You can honestly get fooled into thinking you're at a friend's lovely dinner party. The menu changes seasonally but there are mainstays that you must have. Toasted bread and infused butter gets your palate warmed up immediately for what's to come. The waterzooi, salmon, and bitterballen are excellent. The salads are always surprisingly enjoyable. There's always a meat entree (usually pork) that I adore, and the desserts are actually worth it. Been in love with the place and the people there for quite some time. If you're considering going, take some friends with you. They will certainly thank you! Just be sure to bring enough wine! (BYOB)
