we had curly fries, special ranch, buffalo quesadilla, strawberry fields juice, mango pineapple seamoss juice. all of it was soooooo yummy. quesadilla came with the most delicious kale salad and exceptionally flavored black beans. service was really great!! woman at the register was very nice. owner/manager came by and asked how we were doing. seemed like a nice community space!! we will be back soon :) also decently priced Updated from previous review on 2026-01-05

So dozens of my friends have been eating here for years. And it has become a pillar in this circle's in communities that i'm frequently in

I finally got an opportunity to come here. And eat, and I got to eat a little bit of everything, which was a great experience as well

They have plenty of options and a lot to try. So you will be able to develop a consistent experience here and try something new. Each time

It's also good for people who are just learning or trying to figure out what to eat. For plant base options. So this is a great place for you to start your journey

The best part was that I got to experience a lot of friends and close associates that i've known for years here and see them in this same space. It felt like a very personal experience

And the owner, Sarah is one of the greatest business owners. I've met, very intentional and personable

Nourish is incredible! Ordered their Garden Salad with pumpkin seed hummus and it was amazing! So fresh and delicious. The tropical paradise smoothie was 10/10 and I grabbed a Oreo banana pudding on the way out šŸ˜šŸ˜ I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Philadelphia. Highly recommend Nourish!

We tried several different items. Everything we had was healthy. The food arrived quickly.

Very mushroom heavy. If you’re not a fan of mushrooms, you might want to rethink coming here. But if you love mushrooms, this is your spot.

We got a divine plate with 5 selections, an extra piece of fried chick’un (I didn’t want to get 2 pieces for $5 AND have that take up one of my 5 selections, so we just got the single one for $2.50 on its own. That was plenty for the 2 of us. It’s gigantic!) and we also got the cheesesteak (ā€œthat Philly jawnā€)

The winner by far was the cheesesteak. It was a little too drippy with oil, but the flavors were excellent. (Even the ketchup drizzle surprise on the bread.) it seemed like this was made with portabellas. Plenty of filling for the roll. (Maybe slightly too much, but that’s fine, we ate what fell out with a fork, and it was just as enjoyable. It will absolutely get all over your face, so plan accordingly)

The chick’un was fascinating! Enoki give a super interesting texture. Just make sure to start eating it from the correct end, because I ended up pulling almost all my mushroom out of the filling because I started from the base, and my teeth wouldn’t saw through the fibrous mushroom and it slid right out. Oops! But eating from the correct direction, the other end is a bit more tender and will be more likely to stay in place for the duration. Either way, the batter is super flavorful and perfect! I didn’t mind that my later bites had very little mushroom inside.

The divine platter was hit and miss.
The kale was excessively salty. (Even my salt loving husband was taken back by it. The flavors were excellent, but the salt levels were unpleasant. Dial that back and it’d be on top.)

The Mac and cheese was good. It seemed like it had carrot in the sauce. (I wonder if it’s a riff on the classic vegnews Mac and cheese recipe.) it was creamy and the pasta was nice and tender. Maybe not enough nooch to be considered ā€œcheeseā€, but it was still a tasty creamy pasta dish.

The black rice was simple. Doesn’t seem like there were much in the way of flavorings for that. It had the texture of risotto.

The curry plantain was fine. Exactly as stated. (Uses starchy green plantain in case you were wondering)

The oxtail sauce had a really nice subtle allspice-type flavor, but the mushroom was a bit too firm for my preference. (Which may be what nourish is going for, but I wouldn’t get it again.) I’ve been spoiled by sedjedo’s oxtail, this version pales in comparison.

Had a hankering for some good vegan fried chicken, and nourish is just a place to get it. I’ve always made the claim that they have the best vegan fried chicken I have ever tasted. I also had a craving for some smoothies and a meatball sub. We just happen to have a group on which they have quite often and some great deals. She ordered the vegan chicken platter which comes with mac & cheese blanched and sautĆ©ed kale and of course they’re crispy, delicious fried chicken made with enoki mushrooms. If you come here, this is a must try. It is a very large platter really almost enough for two. I was also craving a smoothie so we decided to order two the first being the green dream which consisted of banana kale Spurlina strawberries, pumpkin seeds, pea, protein, and sea moss agave. The second one which was the garden of life consisted of kale, avocado, beets, strawberries, blueberries, sunflower, seeds, ashwaganda, P protein, and agave. They’re smoothies are in the top two that we’ve ever had.
Both were simply energizing. They also make fresh pressed juices that you can buy out of the retail case along with homemade salads and specialty health items you’ll see in the pictures. They also sell hair care and skin products and all natural medicinal products. The staff is always nice and very helpful. Check out the huge variety of desserts and baked goods in the pictures. they are on point with everything they do !

Excellent plant-based community eatery with friendly service, an extensive menu, and various local and homemade health products up front — and right off the Front-Girard El stop! With food inspired by the Afro-Carribean diaspora, Nourish is my go to whenever I’m in the neighborhood, lunch or dinner, whether for something indulgent (like the bangin buffalo wrap) or lighter (like the Divine plate). You really can’t go wrong!

I tried a Philly Cheesesteak with Seitan and Mushrooms on a whole wheat bun which was pretty good! They offer also freshly pressed juices and baked items. Service was really friendly!

Quiet atmosphere. Great for conversations. Food was cooked fresh and delivered promptly. Loved the chick'un cheese steak and the juices. Didn't love the meatball sub. Personal taste. Others may love it. Can't wait to return.

Best Vegan restaurant I ate at. The prices, atmosphere, variety of dishes, desserts, and the amount of food with each serving. You will always have left overs.
