Family's favorite dim sum spot on Philly! Large and eclectic selection of different dim sum and efficient service.

A must go restaurant every time I go to Philadelphia Chinatown. They have dim sum during weekdays. Authentic Cantonese dishes! I always order the similar dishes as showing in my pictures.

This review is intended to help, not hurt, this family-owned business. Me and my fiance love going to small business and went here on a recommendation. From the moment you walk in, the decor looks very dated. (Early 90’s chrome chairs and white table cloths). The soy sauce bottles on the tables look just as dated as everything else, worn out with time.
The decor isn’t a deal breaker for me, if the food is good. But the food was just okay. It was hot and it was edible. It seemed to lack seasoning and complexity of flavor as some other dim sum places I have been. We got the sticky rice lotus leaves, the roast pork buns, the seafood dumplings, and the house special lo-mein. Everything was just okay, not great but not amazing. It did not taste like it was made with love, if that makes sense. It makes me wonder if they even like the food they are making.
The menu was incredibly large, and overwhelming. I would recommend they take the advice of some culinary experts and trim down their menu at least a bit.
The menus were also stained and worn out with time.
The service was not warm and inviting but that isn’t a deal breaker for me either. There was an older man who was very nice. But the employees seem too comfortable and maybe a little burnt out.
Overall, this place could use an update and a refresh on their menu, seasonings, decor, and overall experience, if they want to stay relevant in an area of town with 3 other dim sum places across the street.

This place offers traditional dim sum with rolling carts. It gets pretty hectic at times with multiple carts coming up to you at once. The food was really good and in line with some of the dim sum places that you see in Hong Kong.
Everything was fine until the very end. We left a cash tip, the owner or manager came up to the table, counted the tip in front of us and told us the tip was not enough. Mind you, we had both cantonese and mandarin speakers with us so she spoke to us in both dialects that it wasn't enough (we gave 20%).
Overall, the food was good just bit on the greasier side. Service was quick however when you are leaving a tip and you're younger just beware they will try to coerce you into leaving a bigger tip especially if you leave a cash tip.

Did not like them demanding 15% tip. I would not come back to this place. There are places with better service more deserving of tips.

Solid dimsum and fast service. It’s a fun experience having the carts come up and picking what you want. There wasn’t a wait when I went, and basically the moment we sat down, a cart came and we had food immediately. I’d recommend’

Everything was fresh and delicious. The table chili oil was very special
The food was actually pretty good, but the service was awful. The waitress kept rushing us to order and even laughed at us for only getting one fried rice and two sides like, what’s the problem? Then the old lady at the counter literally held the POS machine so we couldn’t enter our own tip and said we had to give at least 15%. Super rude and unprofessional. Totally ruined the experience.

One of my favorite dim sum places in Philly. It's got that classic cavernous decor of the classic dim sum place, and the dishes are still all great, with lots of variety. Love it.

One of the last authentic dim sum experiences in America & beyond. Dim sum is delicious and hours are generous! Prices are great.
Despite the restaurant's name, this is *not* a sushi place! This is a dim sum restaurant!!
I dined in with my friends for lunch on a Sunday. No reservation made in advance. The wait time was about 5 minutes. The dim sum carts are on the floor until 3pm.
The place is always noisy and busy, even chaotic and confusing if it's your first time dining in. There is no menu posted anywhere that you can look. The servers push dim sum carts around the floor and stop by each table. You can ask for any dish from the cart that catches your eye.
Only a handful of servers can speak English; most of them speak Cantonese. If you are new to dim sum and have a Cantonese speaking friend, bring them with you so that they can help you choose which dishes to try!
Very very limited vegetarian options! If you are a vegan or vegetarian, this place is not at all recommended. A lot of dishes contain pork. Some seemingly vegetarian dishes may also contain or have been cooked with meat or fish sauce.
The servers here can be quite blunt -- you may see a server almost flinging your tea cup and plate at you when setting the table for you--, but they don't mean to be rude. I think that's just their mannerism.
A pot of got green tea is served as default. If you want cold water, you have to ask for it.
Wheelchair NOT accessible. There is a flight of stairs in the entrance, but no elevator or ramp.
The restroom is located in the basement.
Since this is located in Chinatown, parking is virtually impossible to find. If you are lucky, you might find paid street parking. There are private parking lots around Chinatown, but some of them can be ridiculously expensive, so be careful!!

I came here for some breakfast with friends and it's a good traditional dim sum spot! The interior is spacious and when I walked in, it immediately brought me back to my childhood. Service here is standard for dim sum and they always have staff walking around with various carts and trays full of dim sum offerings.
We got a variety of your classics: har gao, rice noodles, turnip cake, dumplings, buns, and more. Everything was pretty solid. Overall, not a bar spot for dim sum!
