A very underrated tapas place in philly. People tend to lean towards barcelona wine bar or amada (understandable), but oloroso has some great options, too, while being relatively cost friendly. Patatas bravas are a must have if you're getting tapas and you can't go wrong with theirs. Besides the obvious, their charred octopus, gambas al ajillo, and NY strip are our favs. If you're debating between the veggie tapas though, I'd avoid the charred eggplant as it's the least flavorful thing on their menu.

Tapas doesn’t meet my expectations. The only memorable tapas was the grilled chicken. Paella was okay. There were a generous portion of seafood and poultry on the paella but there wasn’t a crunchy bottom. And the dish was a bit on the salty side even for a Chinese myself.

The food here is incredible. We visited during restaurant week and sampled some of the menu. Honerable mentions: Gambas Al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas, and Seared Hanger Steak. The basque cheesecake with sour cherry and pretzel crumble was perfectly balanced in sweetness and texture. Will surely be visiting again.
The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was very nice. Would have been nice if our waiter had checked in more often, but, in general, it was great. We would definately go back again.

This place was phenomenal. The food was out of this world good. It's straight up Spanish food, with a ton of personality from the chef (who came out and said hi to us at the end of our meal). The branzino was some of the best I've ever had, and their bravas is an extremely elevated but humble take on the classic patatas bravas my wife and I frequently eat in her home country of Spain. The chef is passionate about his food, and you can see that both in the way he speaks about it, and the actual food itself. The space is gorgeous, and well absolutely return for the chef tasting, where youre seated in front of the kitchen and the chef hand picks food to give you. The servers were extremely nice and knowledgeable, the only complaint there is that we had several different ones so it was hard to keep track. All in all, I could not recommend this place more. It is our new go-to spot for Spanish food in Philly.
Great Spanish Tapas experience. Food great, service congenial! The bartender, Beau, is a great Vermouth guide.Dietary restrictions: Bo at the bar asked every guest.

What a great evening! We decided to go here for my birthday and I’m so happy we did. This was more than just a dinner it was a whole experience. We all (7) decided to do the 75$ tasting menu and I cannot recommend that enough. It really was a great way to try new flavor combos and new foods. They also ended up giving us foods not even on the menu and everything was absolutely delicious. They even brought our desserts for the table at the end for my birthday, it was so kind! By the time we were done it was near 11, an hour after they close. We felt bad that we didn’t realize it was so late but at no point did we feel rushed. Excellent ambiance, excellent service, and most importantly EXCELLENT food. We all left satisfyingly stuffed. Would definitely love to return.

The tapas and paella were not just underwhelming but sad. The fried fish on the paella was stale. Somehow the pork belly tapas were flavorless. A table of 4 and a tiny tapa was not even finished do to the poor taste. Chorizo and cheese board was very low quality. I was shocked at the high reviews after dining here. Flavor and prep wise the food should be a cheap eats place if you are in a hurry and have no other options. After dropping over $100 pp I feel this review and judgment on the food is justified. $18 each for tapas that are not even consumed entirely is mockery of Spanish cuisine.

OMG. the food was amazing. we sat at the bar and had the best time. it was my 50th birthday dinner, and we were treated like old friends have the fresh sardines. I had never had sherry before other than in recipes until today. I found my new sipping drink tonight. next time we'll do the chef's table. trust me - you will not be disappointed.

Terrible racist service. Also the food was quite bad. Most of it was burnt and insubstantial.
Tapas and raciones are delicious! Service was excellent! They accomodated our dietary restrictions. We really enjoyed the 5 course option!
