I’m not overstating that this is a fabulous restaurant that makes me happy to live in Philadelphia.
Professional service.
Large portions
Beautiful environment
Good wine list.
Clean location.
I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. The focaccia is plentiful.
They did get our wine mixed up but hey, Italian wine is good regardless of the grape.
$400 for 4 people. We each had 2 glasses of wine. No dessert.

Great service and unique menu. It was a great experience. The roasted root vegetables on baked ricotta was fantastic.
Dietary restrictions: Waitress was excellent at flagging our order for our allergy and was able to make suggestions

Really nice vibes and festive atmosphere! I understand why it's so popular. I really enjoyed the grilled octopus as the antipasti. The baked ricotta was alright but I think I like non-baked ricotta better (tastes fresher). For the primi, I got the squash gnocchi because I saw it had porcini mushrooms. But I barely tasted any mushrooms; the flavor was quite dominated by different cheeses. It was cheesy and doughy, so to be honest, it was more texture than taste. If you want mushrooms, you should probably get the FRANCOBOLLI RAVIOLI instead.

Its impossible to get a seat at happy hour. The food was just ok. The broccolini ceaser is a joke. The pizza was the only redeeming thing and our server was kind. Will not be back and do not recommend.

Not a bad happy hour. Lots of people raved about it so we wanted to see for ourselves— drinks are good but the hh sizes for the menu is so tiny! Even with the cheaper price, to me it was not worth it barcade we left hungry

I thought the cacciucco and the grilled octopus were quite good. It felt slightly on the small side of portion sizes, but par for the course for this kind of restaurant. This was a mid October Monday evening, with the restaurant being lively but not too busy, so I thought it was a nice sweet spot.
We made reservations and still had to wait an hour for a table. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was acceptable, not the best I’ve had. It was a very small portion meal.

Never liked Italian food until I came here, clearly I’ve been going to wrong restaurants. I’ll deff be back again for some drinks and pasta cause that food was amazing. Tuna crudo for an all was really good

We popped in here before a show at the Met and had drinks at the bar and then finally got a table for happy hour. Happy Hour doesn't take reservations and is first come, first serve. The bar was not huge, so we waited for over an hour, and there was no great place to "post up," so I recommend getting a reservation if you are headed here for a show. There was over an hour wait. We were happy, and we stuck around because the rigatoni was some of the best pasta I've ever had. Apparently, they have been serving it for over 18 years. The service and staff were so kind even though we were standing a little in the way while we waited for a spot. Would certainly return!!

Uncomfortable and impolite conversation with host drives this review. I had a reservation but canceled it because when I called they said happy hour in garden was fine to include dinner items. All of a sudden we get there and can’t sit outside. When I mentioned I was here Thursday and sat out there it was disregarded. Closing the outside section and giving a lie as an answer is rude. Then put us on the waitlist and never ever notified when a table was ready. Since I originally had a resy the man could have been nicer or more accommodating. I rather honesty than sugar coating. Probably won’t be back however food is amazing.

Not everything goes to plan. They made it right and that's all you can ask. The creme brulee was great. Thank you.

We had the most amazing wedding at Osteria July 2024. From the beginning the entire staff was so attentive, accommodating, and thoughtful when it came to planning beforehand and throughout the night. From the cocktails, late night pizza, and the dessert room our guests only had great things to say. Our wedding felt like the ultimate intimate dinner party with all 120 of our loved ones and we are so happy to have a spot to always go back to for future celebrations.
