We recently visited with a group of three and overall, the food was quite good. We especially enjoyed the eggplant, the bread appetizer, and the pepperoni pasta dish — all were well-prepared and flavorful.
However, the service unfortunately overshadowed the experience. After living in Philly for five years and dining at many restaurants across the city, I’ve never felt such strong pressure to over-order. Our server insisted we “really needed” seven dishes for just the three of us. The plates here are not small plates — most were between $20–$40 each — so being pushed to order that much felt uncomfortable. We let the server know that we could always order more later if we were still hungry, but were told that doing so would “mess up the flow of the kitchen.”
It left us feeling rushed and pressured rather than welcomed. While the food was enjoyable, the service made the experience less pleasant than it could have been. I hope this feedback is helpful, because the kitchen clearly has talent — the hospitality just needs to match it.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! Everything is delicious, particularly the cheesesteak and maritozzi. I also love visiting in the winter for the cranberry custard tart. If you’re a foodie, definitely check this place out.
I love the people service and the small biz vibe. A great neighborhood kinda spot. My espresso sadly wasn’t hot. Our panzarottis were cold inside and they happily brought us two new ones but they were still cold inside although not as bad so we ate them. They were described as having cooper sharp but I only noticed mozzarella. I’m not a fan of mozz with eggs. They were average. We bought two beautiful doughnuts but they were dry and unremarkable. I wanted so bad to love this place!

Incredible panzerotti! Tomato sauce is bright and fresh and you can see the onion inside-really made with love. Breakfast sandwich is the best I've ever had, the eggs were so light and fluffy and the bread was clearly made fresh from scratch

Paffuto just became my new favorite hidden gem in Philly! I had such a great experience.
I got a turkey sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and a chocolate maritozzi. Turkey sausage is usually dry, but this was the juiciest turkey sausage I’ve ever had. The eggs were fluffy and the seeded roll was fresh and delicious. It’s my new favorite breakfast sandwich in Philly. The chocolate maritozzi was light and whipped, not overly sweet. It’s easy to indulge in.
The staff were also so nice and helpful. The interior is quaint but cozy, with nice background music playing. I worked out of here for an hour or so and found it relaxing.
I definitely want to come back and try a panzerotti and one of their dinner tasting menus!

They don't miss!! The panzerrotis are stuffed pillows of heaven and I love the idea of having local chef collaboration ones. Each sandwich I've tried (egg and cheese, cutlet, and the chicken bacon ranch) is incredible! Can't wait to have dinner here.

Came here for the first time for one of their tasting menu dinners and it was excellent! Every course was fantastic. Service was great. Alot of the times tasting menus can be overpriced and tiny plates, but everything was perfectly portioned and absolutely worth every penny. Great place for a date night or special occasion. Need to come back for breakfast!

An excellent experience for a leisurely Saturday. A book, a good music mix and exceptional staff. Bridget was enjoyable when taking my order & surprised me with an upcoming menu addition, the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich, an elegant twist on a traditional sandwich, thick bacon, a well toasted Kaiser roll and great flavors. A seamless transition to the incredible crumb cake desert to close the meal out. This will become a topic of suggestion for all Philly friends.
