French bistro energy right on Rittenhouse Square. The steak frites were cooked exactly right, and the bread basket disappeared fast. Lively room, smooth service, and a place that feels equally good for brunch or a long dinner. Very Philly, very solid.

Atmosphere was great, lighting was very nice, and the general set up was really nice! Honestly the thing we really disliked was how rushed we felt by our waiter. It really felt like she was trying to get us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. We got the check as we were finishing our wine and she came over multiple times touching on the check and saying “thanks for coming in”, indicating to us that we needed to leave. There was no line and many tables open. Additionally, wine is typically poured in small servings, when you buy a bottle, and we had our glasses nearly full. Food was okay, the foie was overcooked but the duck confit was spectacular.

Very disappointed in service as this was my first time experiencing this restaurant. I was told to check this place out by MANY people, I decided to come check it out for a quick solo drink / dessert at the bar in celebration of my art gallery!
Entered the establishment, warmly greeted and welcomed by hosts and asked them if there was a table available which there wasn’t and completely understandable being Saturday night! With it being my first time I asked if the bar is first come first serve which it is. There was a couple ahead of me waiting to sit next then it was my turn-
I waited for 20mins or more before I was able to sit down and finally try this amazing spot-

As I approached the barstool to sit down a man & his wife whom just walked into the restaurant abruptly slide themselves into the seat I was going to sit at and was VERY rude towards me and said they’re regulars.. the bartender let them take the spot meanwhile I’ve been standing there for almost 30mins at this point..
I let the hosts know what happened in hopes they’d fix the situation, didn’t even ask if I wanted to talk to manager but I was let down and upset that this happened during my first experience. Sad to say I left without even getting a drink or trying any of the food but it smelt soo good in there!!

Host did say regulars come in here a lot and think they “own a spot” at the bar..

If the bar is first come first serve maybe have a time limit of how long people can stay (no more than an hour? Something! Especially on weekends)
Or maybe control the people who think they’re entitled to a spot.

I’ve been living in this city for 3 years trying to experience this place but it’s always so busy & with my work schedule being in ER it’s hard to make it there and can’t believe this was my experience trying to try it :(

We been dining at Parc for many years and the food is the highest quality. Our server Tamia was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the food / menu. Tamia is a shining star and the best server we had in a while. Spot on the entire lunch. Thank you Tamia !

My wife, daughter, and I had lunch here last week. Everything about the lunch was fabulous. We all had Moules Frittes. The food was delicious, but what was possibly most impressive was the decor. It felt like I had stepped into a 1930s Paris restaurant. The mirrors, the lamps, all the furnishings were beautiful and from another era. It reminded me of Brasserie Heininger in Paris.

I used to live in Philadelphia and I adored Parc. I cannot say the same today about either. Parc is still busy, but the food is not the same. I had the Onion soup and the Lamb shank. The onion soup was full of cheese. So much so that had to take it out of the bowl to get to the soup…the cheese is thick and has a pull that can stretch across the table…why? It’s too thick and should complement the soup, not fight with me at the table. Also, the cheese is the “seasoning” of the soup…the rest tasted like overcooked onions. I get that’s the point, but no one is tasting what’s being sent out nor observing or using quality control while producing the meals. Now shame on me for not reading that the Lamb Shank was Moroccan themed. Before it came with orzo I believe. Now it’s with couscous…hard brittle couscous and a bunch of sauces. The shank was bland, maybe it was brined, maybe not. I think Parc is a staple because it’s a Steven Starr restaurant, not because it’s good. To sum up my review…the food was bland and disappointing. The Onion soup needs a review by the staff, reduce the cheese by half. And I know France dabbles in Moroccan cuisine, Parc however should not.
