The inside is much larger than you would expect -- it is a narrow storefront with a long space reaching back, and is well air-conditioned. There are several tables. The selection is large. The pastries and cakes have airy dough, soft cream, and a very mild taste without much sweetness, which, I am told, is a good sign for an Asian pastry, and which allows you to taste it without an assault of sugar. There were numerous Asian customers inside, which I also took as a sign of approval.
Not only was the new matcha recipe great but so were the staff. I always love stopping here when I’m in center city (especially the Chinatown location). It was particularly busy but they’ve added seating! I’ll definitely be back.
Very good choice for sweet 🎂 tooth 🦷 options. The pastries are not overly sweet 🧁 like a traditional American bakery. This is the pound cake plain with a light lemon 🍋 glaze very moist 🤤
