Drip coffee tastes off. Pastries are dry. Charge $1 for oat milk, and it’s the cheap supermarket kind, not even barista-quality.
Staff was very rude and made it very clear they did not want to serve me. I came in no different than any other patrons, ordered my coffee and was polite. They rudely placed my coffee on the counter and said nothing, started at me like they’ve never seen a black person before meanwhile thanking all the other customers and going out their way to be nice to them. They were very standoffish, short and rude with out cause, and made it a very unfortunate experience for someone looking to patron this cafe. I will not be back and will be sure to share my experience here.

Chai latte was delish
Love this place! Philly Java has one of the best chais in the city, along with delicious egg sandwiches (eggels)! It is a super cute spot with a lot of seating and wonderful service. Cannot recommend them enough!!!!
My coffee store
Philadelphia Java Company is a charming little café nestled in the heart of Queen Village, Philadelphia. This cozy spot is more than just a coffee shop—it’s a welcoming community hub where locals come to chat, work, or just enjoy a quiet moment. The owners are warm and always up for a friendly conversation, making everyone feel right at home. I had a flat white and tried their labneh, both of which were absolutely delicious. Whether you're grabbing a quick espresso or settling in for a leisurely afternoon, this café’s inviting atmosphere and friendly service make it a must-visit. It's definitely a recommendation! Highly recommend!

This is my favorite place to enjoy my morning coffee. It’s a neighborhood gathering place and there are plenty of seating places inside and out. Occasionally, I also order the labne on sour dough bread for breakfast, which includes some cucumber slices and olive oil. It’s amazing!

Philadelphia Java Company is a beloved coffee shop in the heart of Philly. Located at S 2nd St, it’s a local favorite. Known for its friendly staff and fantastic coffee, it’s a cozy spot for a caffeine fix. With a good selection of pastries and vegan options, it’s open daily and the go-to place for a quick, delicious bite and a warm cup of java.
