Extremely rude TSA guy at the entrance to terminal B on 11/22 at 6 pm. I politely expressed I had accidentally made a wrong turn on a tight connection resulting in me having to go back through security. His response in a loud sarcastic tone was “I dont care about your flight. Im checking your bag. Get to the airport two hours early next time.” I again explained I made a wrong turn trying to make a tight connection, but thanks for your compassion. This dude should not work with customers. Who talks to people like that?

Terrible experience at Philadelphia Airport (PHL) – Missed flight due to poor staffing and disorganization Our experience at Philadelphia Airport this morning was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We arrived early for our flight to Las Vegas and got in line to check in. However, the check-in counter wasn’t open yet. Eventually, one woman showed up and said she would be checking in the entire flight by herself — an entire plane’s worth of passengers. She was working alone and quite slowly, which made the line move extremely slowly even though time was running out. By the time we finally managed to check in and drop off our luggage, we had to rush to security and passport control. What awaited us there was chaos — there must have been at least 500 people in line. It was completely disorganized and felt like a nightmare. We tried our best, but by the time we reached the gate, it had just closed — literally two minutes before we got there. The airline staff told us they wouldn’t wait even a minute longer, and that our baggage was already on the plane to Las Vegas. When we went back to the counter to try to reschedule or get a refund, the agent just gave us a phone number for customer service. She told us there were no more flights today, only tomorrow. We called the number and were told that if the airport staff would confirm in writing that it was their fault (because there was only one person doing check-in), we could get a refund. Otherwise, we would only receive a credit. We returned to the counter and asked the staff to provide such confirmation, but they refused. They denied any responsibility, even though at least 15 other passengers missed the flight in the same way. Clearly, they didn’t want to admit fault to avoid consequences. We were left with no choice but to buy new tickets. Additionally, I want to mention the overall atmosphere in the airport. Many of the staff were very rude and unhelpful. In the terminal where we waited for our new flight, there were almost no places to sit — only a few seats reserved for people with disabilities and three for staff. When I asked where we could wait for the next 7 hours, they just said, “It’s not our problem. Sit until someone tells you to move.” Extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. This whole experience was unacceptable, and I hope this review helps improve staffing, organization, and customer service at this airport. I do not recommend flying through PHL.

Justice For Diana Ramos

On September 25, 2023 Diana Ramos was murdered at the hotel connected to the Philadelphia International Airport. She was a Flight Attendant for American Airlines on a work related overnight trip. ✈️ She flew for American for 25 years and she was 66 years old at the time of her murder. TWO days after her check out date, housekeeping discovered her body. When her body was found, they saw a t-shirt shoved down her throat. To us, this was a clear indication of foul play, however the police quickly labeled it as “undetermined” and closed the case. There are a few false reports claiming it was a sock, but it wasn’t. Her cell phone pinged several miles from the hotel, but it was never recovered. American Airlines flew her body back to her family, but took no action. In fact, they STILL house their crew members at the same hotel knowing the crime is still unsolved. The hotel does NOT have adequate safety measures in place. There are not security cameras on every floor. Diana was staying on the fourth floor of the hotel and there are no cameras on that floor. I have tried my hardest and even created a Facebook page to create awareness, but my efforts go unnoticed. 💔

Conflicting direction at the TSA - requiring questions and curt replies, rude American Airlines staff, subpar service for this size/location of airport.

Dirtiest airport I’ve ever seen! Disgusting! I’ve been in third world country airports that were a lot cleaner, nicer and friendlier staff!!! Do better Philadelphia!

It is the dirtiest and most outdated airport I have ever been to.

Landed in Philly from Punta Cana at 835pm. When going through customs, my family and I followed the signs to the MPC line, and as we were entering the roped lanes, the employee only allowed 5 of the 10 family members to get in this line before telling us the MPC workers are done working for the day and this line is now closed. I explained that we are a large family and we all have our MPC’s complete. The employee began to humiliate me by yelling at me saying “the line is now closed and the longer I stand here and beg, the longer the other line is getting”. After standing in the “other” line for 1 hour and 15 minutes, listening to this same employee telling everyone “stay with your family” as we approached the front to have our passports confirmed, I finally got to the window (non-MPC) to show my passport. From there, I finally met up with the rest of my family who were waiting in the baggage claim area at 10:06pm. Why did the line suddenly close as we were all lining up to get in line? This employee separated my family and then makes the announcement to stay with your family???? Really?

The only thing I ordered from here was an everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagel texture and flavor tasted nothing like what a bagel should be - absolutely terrible.

YOU CAN NOT GET TASTYKAKES here. It's false advertising and I know it's the airport but $2.50 for a small bag of Herrs ?! Don't go here.

The worst airport. Literally lowest ranked in the country. Sat on the tarmac for over an hour waiting for a gate to open due to mismanagement and understaffing. Also, terrible food selection.

PIA has offered one of the worst operating experiences I have ever encountered. On Wednesday 8.21.24 they let a plane sit without the necessary air start equipment for passengers. That means, children, infants, elderly, people with breathing difficulties were left in a closed aircraft with no circulation of air because “they didn’t know” that hey needed to bring the necessary equipment. Seriously? A daily flight and you didn’t know? The moment I stepped off an international flight from London and into PIA those operators of the airport were rude, unprofessional, sloppy, degrading to foreigners (note - I am a US citizen) and generally lazy. I will avoid this place in the future and would not recommend to anyone. I am embarrassed this is an international airport.
