Window-order only pizza shop in Fishtown! I’ve heard amazing things about PIZZA Shackamaxon and was excited to finally try it.

I got the cheese pizza slice with a side of basil + lemon whipped ricotta. It came out to $8.10 for one slice and ricotta - kinda pricey albeit it is a big slice. It was incredibly underwhelming though. The sauce was nothing special and the undercarriage was floppy. My favorite part was the crust because it actually had some crisp. Maybe the pie was undercooked?

The basil + lemon ricotta was necessary to elevate it a little bit more. I see the potential and would be willing to come back to try a specialty slice!

Thin crust pizza made with good ingredients. I got a pepperoni slice from the window on a nice spring day, the house ground pepper on top was a nice touch. Its a little pricey ($6 per slice) and mine was a bit dry (maybe too much oil, maybe too long in the reheat oven, maybe too little cheese) and IMO too much crust at the top (I guess they’re trying to sell their ricotta dipping sauce) but overall an enjoyable slice.

I cannot comment on the food, as i did not (or should i say was not) given the opportunity to. I type their name into apple maps, and it gave me directions and a phone number, i called the number, and the guy that picked up said “hello”, i asked, “is this pizza shackamaxon?”. He says “yea, but this is my personal number, idk why it does this”. I said “well thats google for ya”. And then he hung up on me.!. He didnt give me an alternate number, or different way to order, just hung up.!. That was moree then enough for me to cross them off my list as places to try and (hopefully) review well.!. But first impressions are everything; and if thats how you choose to treat the people (paying your bills) thats a horribleee business model.! I understand his frustration with people calling his personal number probably all day, but that is nooo way to handle it…get the number taken down, or tell people the proper way to contact the establishment, not hang up on them.!. I know MY order isnt going to make a dent in their earnings, but it bothered me thatt much that i fealt the need to leave this review.!. Believe me, i am not a hater, nor am i one to leave a bad review if i didnt like the food, i know places have “off” nights, and i wont judge them based on that one meal, i will try it a second or third time, but this, this was No Bueno.! Sorry.!

Unfortunately this place is not worth your time. They are very rude and do not care about their customers or the service they provide. They will make mistakes and blame it on the customer.

It's Me

I think I paid $12 for 2 leftovers slices

Good pizza but they screwed me over on Super Bowl Sunday. I placed an order two days in advance. 20 min before my order was supposed to be ready they called to say it would be a 90 min delay…half way through the Super Bowl.

Good pizza but that’s a massive fumble on their end. Get your shit together.

I've been wanting to come here for years, but I'm always getting food elsewhere in the area. Today I changed that. I went with the everything bagel pizza slice special, and a plain to see how their base is.

Ordering is solely through a side window, with limited street seating. This is a place to get a slice and go. The special slice was creative, and the food came out pretty quickly. Approximately 5 minutes from ordering of two slices to receiving the food.

Both slices were cooked nicely, and tasted pretty good. Neither stood out to me as memorable, but every bite was crunchy and flavorful. I like the little cheese pieces on top, and I finished the crusts of both.

I'd probably stop here in the future if I was coming home from a bar, or wanted a quick slice when in the area. I don't drink anymore, and I usually am in the area with intent to eat somewhere already, so I won't likely be back any time soon.

It's well worth your time and money, you may love it!

The pizza was very crust heavy, with very little cheese and not enough sauce. I vastly prefer the thin, melt-in-your-mouth, cheesy style

It is good pizza for Philly don’t get me wrong… that said the staff is clueless I asked for a whole pie that would cost nearly 40 bucks and was told it was a 45 minute wait but said can I buy 6 slices and was told I can’t cause the demand… lol it was dead there with 13 full pies behind the guy… I would anticipate this place being out of business before 2026.

Real uppity hipster stuff going on here, rude staff and clueless owner....used to justify the costs for a decent slice but interacting with these people makes me go elsewhere, it's always something with them and always the customers fault

Pizza is way too mid to be worth double price and double the wait. But I suppose co.pared to how the average pizza is in philly it's better than most around here.

No atmosphere whatsoever... only roomy enough inside for the employees, and only 1 table outside and a bench to sit on for to-go. Outside of that, tho, their pizza is off the charts fantastic!
