What a massive improvement on the use of space over W/N W/N Coffee Bar. Poison Heart is a low-key place, not trying to be the next big thing in the city. The bartenders and staff are all great and friendly.

They have a fairly limited and somewhat unique food menu, but if you're feeling peckish you should be able to find something.

The atmosphere is dark in a kind of romantic way. But it's also lively in a way where romance is not...
The fried shrimp are great. The breading doesn't fall off and they are a nice size, the sauce is spicy with a hint of sweet. The menu has changed so unfortunately I didn't stay as long as I expected.
It’s harder and harder to find a good cocktail for under $20 in a big city. Poison Heart gives you excellent cocktails, great small bites, and an unpretentious environment in spades. Oysters and waffle fries hit. The Songs About Keri is a quaffable, less sweet version of a good margarita. The Goodbye Horses is a nicely acidic, bright redo on a classic Old Fashioned.
