Atmosphere is beautiful. The service was amazing. My food was meh. I wasn't a big fan of my sushi. Or the fried rice. The dumplings were delicious though. My friend got a fried shrimp ball that was really good. My lemon drop was everything. My friends papaya drink was disgusting. Overall my server was the sweetest. She was my favorite part. I'd go back for the lemon drop and shrimp balls..

The two rolls we got were flavorful and so was the salmon entree. But the portion sizes left me disappointed and still hungry. The server was friendly but service felt a little too casual for the price point. Overall the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming and it was still a good experience.

My boyfriend & I dined here last week and it was 10/10. The service is friendly & attentive. The sushi was great & their chicken katsu is perfect. Their drinks are some of the best I’ve ever had! Everything is so so fresh & tasty. I’ll always come back here. Love it.

Last night, my dining experience was extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning. The shishito peppers were deep-fried, which ruined their taste. The fried chicken rice had corn in it and lacked flavor. The sushi was very mediocre, missing something essential. The only decent item was the veggie spring rolls.

However, there was confusion when they brought out “veggie gyoza” instead of my rolls. The staff acted as if they could interpret my order; I had said “veggie rolls,” but I literally had to ask for the menu to clarify what I was referring to.

Additionally, I discovered their unadvertised policy regarding takeout during happy hour: you are allowed only ONE takeout container. The excuse given was that happy hour is intended for dine-in only. I sat down, ordered food, and spent a minimum of 45 minutes eating—surely that qualifies as dining in? Once I received my takeout container, I left it behind. I don’t appreciate having to take food home just to “doctor it up.”

When I asked to speak with a manager, I was informed that the person was not present and was asked to leave my name and number. At that point, it was clear they didn’t care; the manager could have easily been in the establishment.

I also felt misled by their happy hour advertisement, which claims $5 for food, yet everything starts at $6.50. To top it off, both my party and I ended up with upset stomachs and spent the morning feeling sick. I recommend proceeding with caution at this establishment.

We went for happy hour on Saturday 1pm-3pm $6.50 for all the food on the happy hour menu and $8 cocktails. The lotus blossom drink was so good it’s a lychee martini. But will sell out fast . The sushi was big and fresh! The wings was so good and crispy. Cute vibe . Solo date friendly. Small place . Good customer service. Good for date or girls day out

I visited QU Japan Bar and Bistro on a Saturday night. The restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Philadelphia, and surprisingly, it wasn’t crowded, which made for a calm atmosphere. The service was quick and efficient, so no complaints there.

However, the food was a letdown. I ordered the Seafood Thai Curry, which was described on the menu as including assorted seafood, bell pepper, asparagus, string bean, onion, basil and cauliflower. Unfortunately, what I received was mostly onions, with just three mussels and four tiny clams. There were no shrimp or any other seafood, as advertised, which was disappointing given the expectation from the description. I brought this to the waiter’s attention who only said that the dish had assorted seafood. Overall, the food did not live up to the menu’s promise. I
