Best Haitian food in Philly!!!

kony kidd

(This is my previous review that I posted in yelp) This place is VERY dirty but hey they were just getting my business because the food is decent. They lost me when they charged me 15 Dollars to use my card.... A FIFTEEN DOLLAR FEE to use my card. If it wasn't for the fact that I was starving and was already late on my lunch break for work I would've left the food right there and walked out. Place lost a good customer, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
This is your spot if you enjoy 1-POOR customer service 2-being swarmed with flies 3-being surrounded in filth.
Everything is literally disgusting and covered in dirt but go and see for yourself. The way the scam ppl you'd think they could remodel. Hopefully they get a visit from health inspector because how can they operate

The food is not good either, the hope is always water and without coconut, the hope only has pepper and salt, the vegetables are not good, the rice is still dry, when I call I say the food is not good, the guy who owns the business answers oh the food is not made at my house, for me to eat well the only time I go to the north, as if we are not ashamed. People always say that our food is not good, it has NO taste either ??????????? ????

So the ladies at the back are great. They don't speak much English, so if you go speaking English they won't really understand. But, the man in the front speaks English.

Now the man at the front he appears nice, but I think he makes up prices based off how he is feeling at the moment. Because I normally get the something each time I go. Down to the size of the platter, and the food in the platter. So the price should be the same, because I get the same thing each time I go. Some days I pay $18.00, some days I pay $20.00 and recently I paid $22.00. When I asked him why it was a different prices, he got very spicy with me. That was the last time I went there.

My boyfriend is Haitian, so the next time I go back he will be with me. If he can't go with me I won't be go.

They are scammers charging more money than the actual price and if you ask the reason they are making 1 cent as 1$ and telling people here your total
Very bad and rude behaviour ??

Was looking for Hatian food in West Philly not many came up & less with pics. So I hope this helps the next person. The food was pretty good. The pate was very hard. And my mango juice was expired 8/2023, I should have checked the date. But the goat , pork, rice & plantains were very good. The music was so loud they barely could hear me make my order. But the staff was friendly. I hope this helps you make your decision. I recommend the food , just would like a few things to change even for a takeout store.

I recently had one of R&M platters, and it is bursting with flavors the taste is remarkably fresh and prepared with evident care and love. The lady who assisted me during my visit was incredibly patient and took her time to guide me through my order, especially considering it was my first time. It's the small touches that makes the ordering so memorable. What's even better is that all this tastefulness and freshness comes at an affordable price. Delicious and budget-friendly – it's a combination that's hard to find. You can't go wrong with this place!

(Translated by Google) It's a restaurant life, it's not going to waste our time, it's a disgusting place. I'm going to buy two rice dishes, hopefully with lalo. When I got home to eat it, the rice was gratin, they just told me that it was the bone that I ate. Each meal was 2x $18. I am calling to say what they say you have already finished buying it, why are you calling. they just never let me down. and hope is clove TEA that ain't no Haitian SOSPWA(Original)Ce yon vie restaurant li ye pas aller perdi temps nou la yo se yon ban embesil.
