I just started working in the area and this has become my go-to spot for lunch. The sandwiches are incredible. Like: some-of-the-best-sandwiches-I’ve-ever-had level of incredible. The portions are right on, the variety of the menu, and the flavor combos are pure perfection in my book.

Visited my sister who lives in Queen Village over the weekend and came here for breakfast three mornings in a row! Food was incredible, one of the best BEC I’ve had. The space is small but we were always able to grab a seat to enjoy our meal. Very cozy and inviting atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

Food was great and staff were very kind. My only issue was the music playing.. I usually never leave reviews but felt compelled because I did really enjoy the food but the music playing definitely negatively impacted my experience and the atmosphere.
I’m not a Taylor Swift hater.. but she is polarizing, and after two songs I was ready for something else. I sat there for my entire meal listening to her- and some of the songs weren’t even well known ones, more deep cuts. It was clear a Swiftie was on the aux. Constantly playing her at a loud volume is just not really the best customer experience.

This place used to be great! I was on vacation down there months ago and was thinking about going again during my latest trip down that way, however as soon as I walked in this past time I noticed the same man who behind the counter. On my first visit I watched this same adult man throw a temper tantrum at the ups driver delivering supplies and even slamming the box that was given to him on the ground outside. I've heard that he is the new owner and if this is the case I won't be going ever again. I remember the last owner being so friendly and making some of the best cafe food I've ever had, it's a shame they split off from this place and even more so that this guy is now in control.
Better late than never, thank you for your response.

I don't usually give bad reviews but this place was poor when I visited which was a surprise since it had Soo many good reviews.
Avo on bagel was rock hard and not ripe, tomato wasn't great either. Also tried to add /buy 2 shots for my coffee after it was made as it was too weak. Got told it would be $3.50. my partner said toilets weren't very clean either.

Food was pretty good, I ordered the Lil’ Goat eggs which ended up being a sandwich. The flavor was really good and the portion was decent. I also ordered an affogato, it was ok, nothing special, other than the oversized mug it came in, but the flavor wasn’t bad. It was my first time so I was unfamiliar with the menu and the additions, I feel like the staff could have been a little more descriptive, specially since all of the information wasn’t available in the menu posted.

I recently visited Philadelphia and stumbled upon Red Hook Cafe. This place is a gem! The first thing that caught my attention was the amazing artwork hanging all over the walls. I learned that they have monthly artist receptions and are continually changing the artwork. When I got to the counter, the staff was friendly and were patient with me and all my questions about their gluten free options. I enjoyed my egg sandwich, especially the avocado which was a perfect ripeness, something I don't see too often. I enjoyed the vibe and the eclectic assortment of customers coming and going. I will be back next time I'm visiting and I highly recommend this establishment!

Unassuming place at first glance, but my sandwich blindsided me with its utter deliciousness. Get the harvest sandwich: every element (the tempeh, hummus, bread, etc) is 10/10. Coming back.
Update: I did come back. Many times. Can't go wrong; sandwiches are my fav.
Vegetarian options: Good vegan stuff!

I like dogs. But they have no business in a shop where there's food. It's a small space and a woman walked in with a big fluffy dog that sat 6 feet from me as I ate my sandwich. Employee even talked to the woman about how cute her dog was. So they obviously don't mind.
The food was ok. The tuna melt came as a closed face sandwich with a big slab of unmelted cheese in the middle. The potato salad was filled with grapes, quinoa and chickpeas (didnt know that when I ordered). There was more of those ingredients than actual potato.
The employee behind the counter was nice. The place wasnt the cleanest. The only reason I stayed to eat was because I was hungry and on a time crunch.

Very good hot latte!! We also liked that we could roll the stroller in here (yay) because often there are stairs that prevent us from taking the baby with us to grab a coffee. A good vibe all around, 10/10 will be back!
