The staff was amazing. Everybody was very attentive and cared about our comfort and needs. The food was incredible!
We stopped in as a family of four and had a great experience. The cheesesteak was amazing and the Caesar salad was truly chef's kiss. Our waitress was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering easy. Service overall was fast and friendly. We were in and out in under an hour, which was perfect. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming, and it was clear that the staff takes pride in maintaining a spotless environment. Highly recommend Red Owl Tavern for anyone visiting Old City!
One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time!!! Great food and even better service!

Our waiter was great, but the food and drink at dinner were so overpriced and so disappointing. I ordered fried eggplant and the eggplant was basically raw inside its fried breading. I could tell the meal's design was good-- lots of herbs and heirloom tomatoes and a sauce-- but the execution was incredibly poor.
My drink came with a ton of ice and tasted like it had already been completely watered down. There was definitely alcohol but it was nearly flavorless. So disappointing for a drink and entree that were ~20 dollars each.

Our server was amazing, there was a wedding going on next-door, but it didn't detract from the attention that we received when we were seated. I brought a friend from London to this establishment and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
Service was oddly slow, couldn't seem to get waitresses attention on a seemingly slow night.
I live and breathe the hospitality industry, am easy to please, but tough to impress. Top notch service, above and beyond the expected. The manager, Dan, exceeded any preconceived expectations I had of this historical restaurant, providing thoughtful punctuations of delight during our post-dinner drinks. I will absolutely be back and tell everyone about my experience.

Almost perfect as we did not eat there
Definitely will do on our return to Philadelphia
An absolute gem with brilliant service from Conrad our bar man that day which happened to be 911 🙏❤️
This was perhaps in our opinion the best bar we went to in our 12 days in the USA
Superb service when we returned after our visit to liberty bell Conrad remembered our round of drinks we were on a time limit but we truly enjoyed our short visits xxx

Our lunch was fabulous! Everyone enjoyed their meal! The service was excellent and we were in and out! Thanks for rocking it from start to finish!
Went with family of 5. The service was awesome. The prices were very fair. The food was amazing. I wish I lived closer because it would definitely become my spot. But will definitely visit whenever I'm in Philly. (We loved breakfast so much we went back later the same day for coffee and dessert!)

Nice venue right across from the Liberty Bell. Overall a positive experience. Waiter was a nice good and food was solid. Went around 3:30 and was a bit disappointed we couldn't order from the expanded kitchen menu. But lunch was nice and would recommend for small groups as it was a good experience overall.
I am not the greatest remembering names but I believe the manager was Daniel our waiter was Zac. My wife didn't see anything she wanted. Zac convinced her to stay. The manager came by just to check how things were going. Food was terrific. After we were done eating another person stopped by (Bella) just to check on us. She gave us a complete breakdown of the desserts. We ordered the blueberry cobbler. Awesome Every person at the restaurant we terrific. Food was very good.
Steak was not tender at all. Taste was ok definitely not worth the 32$ it cost. Server was fantastic., all were very friendly. Other food we got was good. Just don't waste money on the steak.

The portions are huge you can easily share with a friend! The food is delicious, and they even have iced lattes. What more could you ask for?

Popped in for lunch on a weekday and grabbed 2 bar seats. It was packed!
We got the chicken milanese hoagie and build your own omelette and potatoes. The chicken milanese was great, loved the flavor combination of the pickled onions, arugula and chipotle aioli. Only thing I would change is to add more aioli, some bites were a *tad* dry. The fries were not good, they weren’t crispy or salty enough.
The omelette was solid, but they charged us $29. We couldn’t believe it. $22 for a build your own omelette and $7 for adding bacon in it. That just feels like a rip off.
Overall, we really enjoyed our food but it was extremely pricey. I don’t think I would come back because of the high price tag, but if you’re nearby and don’t have a small budget it’s worth a shot.
