They have a nice selection of food and drinks, however they are sometimes a little inconsistent with the strength of the matcha. I enjoy their normal matcha, and their paneer sandwich is so creamy and good with bell peppers.

Chipotle chicken panini was good but dry. Turkey was juicier. Baklava waffle wasn’t my favorite, tasted more orange than baklava

All of Richie’s locations offer good food, served quickly, with a smile, for a fair price. I enjoy the mixed drinks and hot sandwiches at this location.

Wheelchair accessibility: Street-level entrance from patio, direct/level from sidewalk.

Myself and a few family members were in from out of town and needed some coffee and food. We weren't disappointed! The coffee, both hot and iced, was rich and smooth, perfectly mixed/made regardless of the flavors we got. We also got a few Turkey/Chipotle Turkey paninis, and the 3-Cheese grilled cheese. They were perfectly cooked and all the ingredients were delicious and fresh - so good!! And the bagels and cream cheese also didn't disappoint! If we're ever back in this part of the city, we'll definitely come back!

The tater tot wrap is my go-to for breakfast, all the food is amazing and they’re always fast. A lot of the times you can even see the owner Richie is in store, overall great atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

I ordered a double espresso and one of the breakfast wraps that they keep on the hotbox near the register.

The espresso was fine. Nothing special. About what I was expecting. Most coffee shops serve average espresso that just tastes like regular American coffee with a little bit more body, some crema on top, and more robust bitter-coffee flavor. That's what you'll get here. Don't look for notes of cocoa, wine, or berries. It's fine espresso, but nothing to get excited about.

The wrap had egg, turkey bacon, cheese, tater tots and chipotle sauce. It was pretty good, but also not amazing. I appreciate that they get the turkey bacon super crispy without it being dry. I like the tater tots as a stand in for a hash brown patty; they taste the same and the small pieces make for a better experience of biting into the wrap. The eggs were fine; in a sandwich like this, they add protein and not much flavor. I couldn't taste the cheese at all because the chipotle sauce overpowered everything. I suspect they use a premade chipotle sauce because it has the viscosity of bottled salad dressing and it's a little too sweet (barely any of that smokey heat that characterizes real chipotle 🌶️). Still the sandwich tasted fresh and filled me up with all the good breakfast vibes. I'd order it again, it's way better than the average fast food breakfast sandwich.

Bottom line: Richie's Cafe is a nice place to sit and work on your laptop, if you can find a free seat. It's often very busy. The food and drink is dependable and consistent, even if it's not the best around. I'll be back. I want to try one of the grilled cheese sandwiches because that's what I hear people talking about all the time.

Great place to study or relax as there is ample seating at tables and barstools. The staff are friendly and service is quick. The natural lighting is nice and relaxing. Food wise, the everything bagel is terrible - it was overcooked, resembling whole grain almost, had no seasoning or taste, and it came toasted but I didn't ask. The matcha was watered down with too much almond milk and sweetener (also didn't ask for it to be sweetened) and not enough matcha. Overall this place is great for studying or meeting up with friends; you could probably eat before you come here.

Richie's Cafe was awesome! Definitely a college atmosphere! Get there early because around lunch time, the line is out the door! That's because the food is great and the service is just as good!!

Firstly, I’ve had a counter person act rude to me before. I do not care if everyone else is nice, because one person ruins it for everyone. I’m spending money here not you.

Secondly the coffee doesn’t even wake you up. I’ve had better coffee from kuerigs and French presses.

Lastly, their plastic cups leak, which is annoying

Love the chocolate chip cookie waffles from there but I asked for no butter on it and it came with butter all over it. And I felt bad even asking them to remake it since they were so busy.

richie’s is a pretty solid uni cafe. the drinks are decent and they always have a variety of seasonal options. food is good and fairly priced. only downside is that a few of the staff members have been rude. some of them have been super sweet though so it rlly depends ! good study spot but music can be loud and it gets REALLY busy during the school year.

Great spot for a cup of coffee and a quick bite.

You are sure to find a delicious breakfast or lunch option.

The chocolate chip cookie is a must try. So just grab one with your order and save it for later if you can resist it!
