Best pizza place in rittenhouse! One of my frequent spots highly recommend the vodka slice! Super great place service is great, they have such unique slices sooooo good

The pizza by the slice here was decent if you enjoy thicker style crusts. They offered both classic and artisan flavors, which is fun to explore the different flavor profiles. Didn't exactly receive stellar service, but it's pizza and not that deep.Slices were a little soggier than I prefer. I love lots of toppings, but I'm not sure if I got a weird round of slices for myself and friends because each of us commented that the dough felt like it was either under or that the toppings left too much moisture. Might have to go back and check it out again.

Probably the best pizza I’ve had in America! Amazing roman-style pizza by the slice. Definitely recommend the carbonara and the vodka pizza.

Really enjoyable lunch here. This is Roman street style pizza done properly. Pizza has a perfect crust (not burned as is the unfortunate custom at some places these days), with a light dough and tasty toppings. We had marg (2), a carbonara and a truffle mushroom and they were all excellent. The Caesar salad was adequate.Service was friendly and competent and a clean and well maintained restroom a plus.

I love stopping by here for a slice or two when I'm back in Philly. The carbonara is my favorite by far but they are all tasty. The crust is light and airy and it's a nice change up from more traditional pizza pies

Best pizza in Center City (if not all of Philadelphia) (if not all of the world) and that's not an exaggeration. Well worth the price. I love the Margherita best but all that I've tried are good. Very friendly people working there as well!!!Vegetarian options: Trufolata, parmigiana, marinara, margherita, carciofi e spinaci, patate e

Since I relocated to Canada years ago, I have missed many things about Philadelphia, especially the outstanding Pizza available in the City. During my last trip, I researched places in the Center City area that were highly touted and found Rione- much to my delight! They offer square Pizza by the slice with many options not found in traditional Pizza establishments. Since I was only having a slice as an appetizer before dinner, I chose the Diavola, with hot Soppressata with tomato and Mozzarella. The crust was outstanding- crisp, wonderful texture and taste, which was a fine addition to the flavorful toppings, which lingered because of the spicy meat. There are at least a dozen other options available, reasonably priced at $3.75-$3.95. They do not accept cash, but Chris, the affable proprietor extended me the courtesy of paying with cash since I was visiting from Canada, which I appreciated greatly! I heartily recommend this fine Pizza place for its quality/value and interesting and unique offerings. Highly Recommended!

Oh boy do we love this pizza! The crust is to die for. I love the mushroom truffle and the margarita pizzas. They do close a bit early on weekends but that’s probably a good thing for my wallet!

Extremely courteous and professional staff. The pizza ? - Roman Style- was absolutely ?% amazing !!! The gentleman on duty even provided good tips on how to warm it in the oven from home ?. A true WORLD-CLASS establishment !!!Ohh...by the way, their desert choices are not conventional- they are superb. Their Turamisu desert is so good that I should have gotten two ! [my wife ate 90% of it......]

Discovered this gem by accident and boy am I glad I did! Excellent artisan pizza with a variety of flavors. We tried the following:Trufolata, Patate E Romarino, Ricotta Vodka, & Margarita. Ricotta Vodka was our favorite but they were all excellent. No disappointments and we are New Yorkers so we are hard to please when it comes to food, especially pizza! The pizzeria is small but very clean and brightly lit. Definitely has a modern, upscale feel. Parking is not easy (welcome to Philly!) but it’s worth it to drive around the block to find a spot because the pizza is so delicious. The service is friendly and informative and unlike other pizzerias, the box has instructions for reheating to perfection. Give them a try!

tl;dr the crust is the forte of this fast-casual, quality-over-quantity Rittenhouse slice shop Rione entered the Philly food scene on a sleepy block of Rittenhouse, and almost immediately, their pizza al taglio was a hit. In a departure from American slice joints, they sell their Roman-style slices by the rectangle. Rione takes pride in its long-fermented, made-from-scratch dough and mix of locally sourced and Italy-imported ingredients. Since its debut, Rione has relocated next door to the smaller space formerly occupied by Poi Dog. The whitewashed walls to the left are delicately decked with large, black-and-white photographs of Italy. On the right, a low glass barrier separates you from the rainbow of rectangular pies, each confined to its own stainless steel tray. The extensive menu, also including sandwiches, salads, sides, and desserts, is prominently chalked behind the service counter. In the back, custom moped wallpaper outlines the bright red unisex bathroom. A handful of narrow, light-wooden bar tables and vibrant red, metal barstools are organized for indoor dining. I've recently been taking advantage of Rione's 2 Good 2 Go deal (4 pre-selected slices for just $5). The pizza effortlessly bounced back to life after just 10 minutes in the oven, and the slices were augmented by my at-home supplement of salt and basil. My favorite so far has been the Carbonara, a white pie with pancetta and egg cream. It sported a rich array of flavors, and the paucity of sauce allowed the light, springy crust to shine. I got similarly positive vibes from the Patate e Rosmarino, simply topped with thinly sliced potato and a drizzle of olive oil. Meanwhile, my friend thoroughly enjoyed the Trufolata slices, impressed by the earthy and savory mushroominess. In contrast, I found the Carciofi e Spinici to be mostly bland, apart from sparsely populated, overly processed artichoke. Further, the Diavola, topped with tangy red sauce and large ovals of soppressata, seemed to overpower the delicately sourdough-y flare of the crust. Rione's pies excel in flavor and texture. However, the slices aren't particularly substantive, and they lack the heartiness and greasiness of American pizza varieties. At $3-4 per slice for what realistically equates to a power lunch or pre-dinner appetizer, I'm not quite a regular player. But for $1.25 a slice? I'm definitely game.

Stopped by for lunch before getting to the airport and it was definitely worth the stop. The pizza was well done and fragrant with the basil. We also had the garlic bread squares (not pictured) were unexpectedly really good and had the marinara sauce. The cannolis were also really cute bc they were small.

Pizza is always stellar, and their different flavor options are all hits. I've only ever gotten it delivered, but I'm a huge fan.

Love, love, love this pizza!!!! My bf and I tried nearly every kind. The guys who work here are super friendly. Although we got there at 7:20 when they were closing at 8, we still sat with our homemade bottle of red wine, enjoying this fabulously not-too-thick crusted, awesome pizza- never feeling rushed. About 4 or 5 high-top tables with chairs inside. Order at the counter, take to your table or take out and enjoy!
