Homemade pasta dishes were all good, particularly fettuccine funghi and short rib pappardelle. Fish of the day was quit good as well. Service is good and decent wine selection. It's quiet enough you can converse easily and don't hear other tables' conversations.
This is a quaint little place around the corner from the Walnut Street Theater. The appetizer menu was great and I wanted to order everything on it but I did choose the grilled calamari which was very tasty. The Pollo Pavarotti was excellent - chicken breast, artichokes, cherry tomatoes and Kalamata olives in a light, clear sauce. The service was very attentive...and gracious. When my friend realized she ordered the wrong entrée, they immediately replaced it with what she wanted...
This was our first time at Buca D'Oro Ristorante. My 3 sisters and I like to dine out prior to going to the Walnut Street Theatre. The menu was easy and the special explanations were mouth watering! We didn't have much time due to the schedule, but we were acknowledge that we needed to leave by a certain time to be on time for the show and we were accommodated. We all agreed that we will go there again.
