Love Rival Bros! The new espresso lemonade (Highline) is delicious but I got a lesson in chemistry today when i stirred the two layers together. A natural carbonation happens between them but I think I created a nucleation point when I stirred and my drink overflowed. Just don’t do what I did and you’ll be good lol

Coffee is great and I enjoy the ambiance and outdoor space/tables. However, the staff there always seem very unhappy and disgruntled. It definitely doesn’t make me want to keep coming back even though I’ve been a loyal customer for a while now.

I'm starting to love this coffee shop! The drinks are consistently delicious (be sure to try their lavender rose latte), the service is fast, and the Wi-Fi doess what WiFi needs to do. I've honestly never had anything bad on the menu, so go nuts trying things. They won't warm up their pastries, FYI, in case that's a deal breaker for you. This is very understandable if you're in there when they're even a little busy, however - it would murder the workflow and make wait times a pain. This is a small but very popular shop in the middle of a high traffic neighborhood with an elementary school around the corner, so if you're trying to hunker down and have a whole work day, for your own sake, and the sake of the neighborhood, go somewhere else. It's a good spot for a coffee meeting, or an hour or two of work, though. Peak times are early to midday in general, but especially on the weekends, as with most coffee shops.Kid-friendliness: I'd call this place quite kid friendly - there are often little ones waiting outside, in carriers with parents, or sitting with treats. When it's busy inside, I could see it being overwhelming for an anxious kid, though, so be advised. The atmosphere is generally quiet and friendly, with plenty of young families and middle aged professionals with older children. You're not going to see a lot of teens here usually.

Great local coffeeshop. The coffee is good and the pastry selection is solid, but the toasts are the standout - they are excellent. The shop has a seasonal selection of spreads on bread and they are all great. The flavored shots are also a highlight. A lot of shops have flavors that are basically just syrup, but Rival bros uses unsweetened flavors. That means you can get a chai latte or a mocha and not have the drink be sickly sweet. One thing to note is that the store is pretty small. Seating is quite limited, so do not expect to be able to get a table during the morning rush. They have outdoor seating but that is even more limited and not very well placed.

The coffee is delicious! I got an oat latte with the dolce flavor. The quality of the coffee came through and the latte was creamy just like I like it. Cute environment. Cozy for working out of . 10/10

I usually go to this place for an iced matcha. The barista essentially gave me a $4.50 cup of cold milk. The premade matcha slurry, simple syrup, and milk ratio was just off. It wasn't well balanced and somehow left a rancid taste in my mouth.

High quality freshly brewed coffee. Pastries until they sell out. Sit down, get cozy, drink your coffee and gtfo. Amen.

No room to sit and enjoy your coffee because 5/6 of the indoor tables are being used by remote workers, so everyone else has to sit out in the cold or go back home.
