Nice very Nice
A few girlfriends and I ate at Rookie’s this past week. We ordered 12 bone in mild wings, 12 boneless cattleman’s wings, 2 pulled pork sandwiches and 2 orders of pretzel sticks. We also ordered a few whiskey sours and dirty shirley temples. The food came out super quick and that made our hungry bellies very happy! The pretzels were delicious! The girls that shared the bone in wings said they were good but the boneless wings were so overcooked and tough I couldn’t even cut through them. Good flavor on the 2 I did eat though. The pulled pork sandwiches were tasty as well but both ladies had to request more bbq sauce on the side. No biggee! Easy fix. The drinks were strong but no complaints there from this party! Lol Overall, a great friendly atmosphere with happy staff. Glad to see the place open again. Hopefully the food will improve with more practice!
Nice place to meet people
Food was very good. My friend had a Philly cheesesteak and said it was great. Word is that the Mac salad is homemade, but I don’t know, but she liked it a lot. My steak salad was delicious! The lettuce wasn’t iceberg, but more like Grocery Stretcher lettuce. Ranch dressing was great! Cucumbers and tomatoes were weak; super paper thin…you could see through them. Improvement needed there. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the service was a bit slow, although I expect that for an establishment that just opened. Great atmosphere for sports with lots of TVs on the bar side, but the dining side will need larger TVs at some point. Tables, floors, restrooms all clean. Lol. On a final note, I wish they would play music and not rely on the patrons to play the jukebox. Even with music, patrons will still commandeer the jukebox. We will be back. Congratulations on the opening and wish Rookies luck. 😃🍻
The food was excellent and was prepared exactly as we ordered it. The homemade ranch and blue cheese are amazing!
