Pizza was pretty great compared to other Philly pizza places. Sausage used on the pizza was great. Cheese fries were good. Small but decent prices. Would recommend giving them a try.

Royal Pizza is an institution in western University City. While they do have a bench to sit at and eat, this is a take out/delivery place. The food is delicious and with really good portions. Mega Fries are the best cheese fries in the city. Cheese steak is good, full with soft bread. A small is enough for a normal person and the large is HUGE! The meat strombolis are also good.

I came across Royal Pizza while visiting a friend and crazing something simple. There are a few pizza options in the area, but something drew me into wanting to give them a try.
I ordered through the Slice app for convenience and got 3 items. My order was made correctly to order.
The first item I chose was a small meat lovers pizza w/ extra cheese. This was made perfectly. The pizza was flavorful and filling. It even kept it's flavor after upon reheating it for leftovers, which shows using more quality ingredients.
My second item was a plain cheesesteak with american cheese. This did not stand out too much and left me desiring more out of it. It could've used more meat and cheese, but I know that there is an extra meat option through the app that I didn't choose.
Lastly, I got the cheese fries with whiz. This is a classic and exactly what I was looking for.
This is a go to over all the other local shops when I'm in the area.

I ordered a chicken cheesesteak and cheese fries. The steak sandwiche was not good at all. The meat had a weird taste. The cheese fries were very salty and I didnt get anything but cheese.
