Put your name down early and expect an hour + wait, but don’t give up the ship. Once seated, it’s worth the wait. Meal was impeccable. Hostess and waiter were both paid actors in a Miyazaki film. Sake had our whole group roaring laughing before the first app even hit the table. Recommend sharing as many small plates as you can muster and then ordering a few extras you don’t need, then splitting off and ordering individual sushi platters. Everyone left as happy sleepy kittens...
Amazing food, just don’t understand why they don’t have reservations for some of their seats, no one likes waiting an hour to get in, unless you get in right at opening. Doesn’t matter, weekend or weekday, if you don’t come at opening there’s a wait. It sure would be nice to come and get seated right away and not try and find something to do for an hour. You can always charge for no shows on opentable or resy then take whatever walkins.
Arrived at 7pm on Friday- 45 min wait. Waiter was attentive and food came at a reasonable time. Not the place to go if you want traditional sushi with many roll options. Pretty good food- no complaints on that end. Only note: it is super dark in there, everyone around us was reading the menu with their phone flashlights.
