San Lok Chinese Restaurant

I have to assume the people giving this 5 stars had never eaten Chinese food before. One of the worst places I've ever eaten. Possibly the worst chinese food I've ever had in my life. Avoid this place. There's also a chance a crazy person will walk in and stab you so. Go literally anywhere else.

Foods good but you have ghetto hood rats shaking you down for money EVERY time. They let drunks and drug addicted people sleep inside on the bench and the ghetto rats must be watched they’re only looking to steal your bike or wallet. Be careful with this place.

San Lok is hands down, the best tasting Chinese Food in the CITY OF PHILADELPHIA!!!! I met Sue (the owner) in 1978! We were both in the delivery room of Pennsylvania Hospital giving birth to our first child!!! She only has one child; a son who has been working in the business ever since he could reach the stove!!!I went on to have 2 more children!!! We stay in contact and we will always be friends! The food is Delicious!! Kim and her husband are so sweet, curteous and patient with the South Philadelphia crowd!!! They have been on that corner for more than 40 years!!! I feel so lost when they go on vacation!!! I just wait for thier return! I never eat anywhere else!!! Kim and her family can cook and we're friends!!! God bless you Kim!!! Onward to Victory!

Kid-friendliness: The prices are the cheapest in the City and the food is the best!!! Parking is horrible because it's down the street from the police station and surrounded by lots of business but the walk is worth it! That's for sure!

Have ordered from here for over 30 years; they are consistently the same. Nice folks. Reasonably priced. Just heard they are not closing. Phew! Kids grew up with mine.

The food is great but the prices are crazy high. Ain't no way the prices should be this high. I understand the new neighbors might have a few more money than the people that lived here for years, but let's not forget poorer people helped them stay open for all these years. I hate the prices!!Sadly I can't even bring myself to pay the dramatic price hike again shift.
