Ordered off the family menu. 40$/ person and it was me and my girlfriend on a Saturday night at 8pm. We were the only people in the restaurant. Waited 30 minutes for water and forks and knives. Service was very slow for no reason. Ordered some kabobs and appetizers . Kabobs were hard as a rock and only a few bites. Salad was enough for 1/2 of a woman. Food was very bland and overcooked. Very very small portions. The bill came to $117 for 2 people and when I told the owner about the issue of very little food for “family style” She insisted we don’t come back. we had to go to another restaurant after for more food.

Food was amazing. We had the pumpkin with rice, split peas soup and the eggplant. All very savory and delicious.
Service was a little slow at first especially given the fact that it was slow. But the waiter were nice.

This is a true gem for philly and I hope they stick around for a long time.

Lovely restaurant. Surprised not busy on a Saturday night but they appeared to be doing take out. Kababs were very good. The lamb korma was slightly low on salt but very tasty and the meat was tender.

The waitress was really welcoming and nice. All the food was great! I felt that I ate healthy with a good variety between meat, bread, rice, and dairy based selections.

The qablee pulaw rice and the platter rice are literally the same!! So pathetic!! Hella over priced and small portions. The sambosa and chutney is good and the chicken skewer. The rice were undercooked and the lamb was okay. Wouldn’t come to this place again😔 they also took more than an hour to bring our meal.

I've dined here in the past.. nice ambience.. service was beautiful.. very kind... the food portion was small for the price.. protein was sufficient but no reason for the rice portion to be small..

The Kabob House is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Especially for a group. We love to order a few meat (kabob) entrees, then supplement with a variety of vegetable side dishes - and eat family style. Everything is great - but our favorites by far are the Pumpkin and Chickpea vegetarian dishes and the chicken kabobs! We also appreciate that it's BYOB. Service is always good. And it's beautifully decorated.

I was there years ago and the food was wonderful. This time the food was BLAND,BLAND and more BLAND. The service was good.

Pretty authentic dishes but i wasn’t blown away like some other places i’ve been to. I’ve been told afghani food is supposed to be more comforting than flavor bombs, maybe that’s why.

We had gone there on a weeknight last week- the service was incredibly slow. We waited close to an hour to get our meal, and given the high price of entrées- the meals were a disappointment. The place seemed totally dead and the slow service was very frustrating and disappointment- we had high hopes for this place. Either lower the price OR improve the quality of food + service if you're going to charge close to $30 for each individual entrée.

First time having Afghani food and it did not disappoint! Had samosas, salad, traditional bread with sauce, and chicken kebabs. Highly suggest.

The food was great, staff were very friendly and even gave us a free appetizer. Vegan-friendly. Expect entrees to be $20-30 on average.

Love their Qabilee palaw. The meat is so tender and the rice is very flavorful with just the right amount of raisins and carrots, not too overpowering. Order it with the yogurt dip, amazing! 👌
