The food here is AMAZING! Highly recommend the eggplant. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. My foodie 16 year old wanted to take home a quart of it. Beautiful atmosphere, kind people. Many dishes for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Gluten free options. The rice is sooooo good. Doesn’t serve alcohol.

We just ordered takeout from here for the first time ... Incredibly great meal. Kidney beans, chickpeas, spinach, okra...all amazing, especially kidney bean and chickpea. Wow. Appetizers were delicious, also there was this green sauce (cilantro heavy) that came with them and I would drink that sauce straight. They also included a complementary dessert that was unreal delicious. I can't rate this highly enough. It was light and filling, healthy and devilishly tasty.Great for vegetarians (like us).Vegetarian options: We are vegetarian and got many sides and a main (okra). The kidney beans and chickpea with tomato and garlic were healthy, protein rich, and absolutely delicious. Spinach was fantastic. Side salad that came with main dish was delicious. This place is a gem for vegetarians IMO

Loved everything about this place! The Qablee Palaw especially was incredible, along with the Sambosa and Ashak. My husband said the carrots on the Qablee Palaw were the best he’s ever had - and the lamb was perfectly tender and juicy. We found that one entree and two appetizers were perfect for splitting between two people. Also, the atmosphere made it feel like a fine dining experience - there were beautiful decorations and intentional design. We’d definitely return if we’re in Philly again!

Restaurant was empty but we gave it a shot. Everything was flavorless, even the bread. Soup was bland. Kabobs were dry and looked old. Looks beautiful on the inside but this cant last. And for the price? Where is the flavor? I feel like Afghan food should be bursting but maybe I am naive?

Overpriced, excessively Americanized, fine dining.Service needs to improve a good amount- the server, although kind and nice, needs another round of training as she was helpless with the menu and kept doing work on her laptop on another table as she was waiting on our table.
