I had my rehearsal dinner here the night before my wedding and it was everything I dreamed of and more! The team were so easy going with everything, treated us like family the second we all walked in. The food is incredibleee here and such an amazing fixed menu for large parties with plenty of options. They even provided the best cannolis I’ve ever had on complete last minute notice for a party of 40. It’s the perfect cozy restaurant for an intimate dinner and highly suggest to host an event, and byob too! So grateful for the team here and would recommend them to everyone.

Hands Down the best Italian restaurant in South Philly! The food is amazing. The service is exceptional. They really work with you to accommodate your party. My mom's 75th Birthday dinner was amazing last night. Thank you so much for giving her such a beautiful birthday.

I was there for a friend‘s surprise 70th birthday party. I had the bone in veal Parmesan. It was the best I ever had. I think we had every appetizer on the menu and they were all fantastic. I completely understand why it’s my friend’s favorite Italian restaurant. Don’t forget to bring a good bottle of wine or two. 😊 It is BYOB. Mangia!

This place is a real treat! From the moment you enter, if you're a native Philadelphian, the decor invites you in as if this place was curated in the 70s...at the same time you're visiting your Italian relatives. Mark and Colleen served us and they could not have been more personable and professional. I wanted them to join us for dinner.

A good friend and my wife took me out for my birthday, and the meal was top-notch. The menu has everything you need for a perfect Italian meal. The calamari is light and while fried, is just perfect. We also had the Caprese Salad, Bruchetta, and Mista, all of which were delicious. A bit later, we were joined by my friend's husband and daughter, who helped us with the Pumpkin Ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Branzini...all delicious!!

If you're a native, you owe yourself a visit, and if you're visiting from out of town, you must have a meal here, and you'll get a sense of why South Philly is synonymous with Italian cuisine.

We arrived at opening a half hour before our reservation and were greatly warmly by the owner and invited to “come in and relax”. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Highly recommend! We will be back.

This was our second time there the specials are always so good and flavorful and looking around all the tables to food looks awesome. Amazing. The service is unbelievably friendly helpful I am very attentive. The atmosphere is like sitting in a old Italian home or your grandmother’s house I can’t say enough about this place other than we gotta try it if you’re in Philly and if you live in Philly and you haven’t tried it you’re missing out.

Welcome or welcome back. Whether it’s your first time or not, this place makes you feel like home — except the red sauce is better than your Nona’s. My wife and I have been going here religiously for years. The food is unparalleled (don’t take my word for it, there is a reason Aaron Nola calls it his favorite restaurant in the city) but somehow the experience is even better. In short, the service is incredible. It’s not an accident that you might see the most significant people in the Phillies or Eagles organization there on a Saturday night. Be sure to ask about the purse shaped pasta or be sure to order the scungilli fra diavlo. Without a doubt the best pork chop (with fig balsamic) in the city. Beware, if you go here once you may never go anywhere else again. Long live Scannicchios!

The best of the best!!! Before our son was born, my husband and I would come here religiously every Friday night. Whenever we had friends in town, they came here and asked to come back the next time around. Now anytime we have a babysitter or the opportunity, this is the first place we go. The food is incredible, and the service is even better. We love you Scannicchio’s!!!

Make reservations, do not just walk in. They sat me without a reservation to try and accommodate. After we sat, we asked for water, asked for bread, asked for our servor, asked to place our order. Close to 30 minutes later we still had no idea who our server was. Bugs were crawling on the table, possibly from the plant by the window. The atmosphere was off from the second we walked in. Not a welcoming restuarnt at all. So im sorry I ever even walked in. If no reservation was an issue, just say hey sorry were booked at the moment but we would love to see you come back.
