One of the best chicken cutlet sandwiches around with broccoli rabe.

Never heard of this place until a friend recommended it to me. Their famous chicken cutlet sandwich is delicious. The only reason I stuck with a 4 out of 5 stars was because there arent great hot/spicey options to put on your sandwiches. I would recommend this spot way over Pat's or Geno's

It was my first time here their food is excellent and I went to a lot of places like this and nothing like this when I went there their was a DJ spinning records that was awesome they basically do the traditional roast pork and steak style sandwiches I see them on FYI Philly and localish sometimes ...that's how I found out about them they were advertising a scrapple cheese steak ...

Went today around 130 during the game to get a sandwich for dinner. I spoke to the young lady I ordered a cheesesteak with cooper sharp extra cooper sharp no onions. I am allergic so I canât forget to order. I just went to eat my dinner at 540pm and itâs packed with onions. I am glad I checked or I would be dead. My wife went out and my epipen I am out of. I went to take the sandwich back but they were closed. Just so everyone knows, I was the only one there and no one waiting and they still couldnât get it correct. There is a reason I havenât been here in a while. Guess I wonât be back at all.

On the River, hard to beat hoagies and steaks. Absolutely 1st tier philly steaks and hoagies. Their 'Scrapple Fries' are a unique and delicious Philly treat!!!! Lots of convenient free parking!

Don't be fooled by those tourist trap cheesesteak places (they know who they are). This is a great cheesesteak. Definitely top ten in philly. Rolls are fresh and don't fall apart with the meat. Meat is flavorful and fresh tasting. Sandwiches are full of meat.
There's outdoor seating available. Located right on the river, next to the coastguard station.
Update, chicken parm sandwich, and hoagie were also delicious. Hoagie was jammed packed with meats and deliciousness.

I finally got to try Shankâs Original, and I must say what an incredible experience. I ordered âThe Philly Specialâ and man was this sandwich amazing, literally one of the most underrated cheesesteak I had in Philly hands down. If you a true Philadelphian this is the sandwich to order, highly recommend taking the time out to check this establishment you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be returning.??
