I ORDERED SAUSAGE, EGGS WITH CHEESE, AND HOMEFRIES. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS OKAY WAS THE EGGS. THE SAUSAGE TASTED LIKE WOOD, AND THE POTATOES WERE BURNT AND TASTELESS. I AM SHOCKED, BECAUSE MY PREVIOUS ORDERS WERE GREAT. I JUST THREW THE PLATTER IN THE TRASH, EXCEPT EGGS.

The Breakfast here is always a hit ! One of my favorite establishments in Philadelphia, rich in history and delectable delights. I’m always welcomed with a great atmosphere. Please be mindful that this establishment is normally filled with regulars because they have been feeding the community for over 20-30 years. Normally I always get seating and never had any problems with that. As I sit at my cozy table i’m always given the option of plastic wear or Silver wear ! Food comes out hot and delicious every time. My normal meal of choice is of course the fish and grits. The Fish is fried to perfection and the grits are always consistent just the way I like them. They always have specials ! If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot serving soul this the best Jawn 💯

I’ma huge surf and turf guy, so I always go here for breakfast and brunch. The cook knows how to make a decent steak just the way I like it, medium rare and let me not even get started on the fish and grits, especially the grilled shrimp he put on top of it for me. 10 out of 10 would recommend!!!

I ordered the meatloaf platter with mac and cheese and yams it was trifling and disgusting🤢. I waited about 35 minutes I thought the food will come out good and hot😢 no flavor to nothing, one thin piece of meatloaf. The whole platter was tasteless and nasty. I also ordered a side of lima beans when I got home open the container the lima beans was mixed with the rice, not on top of the rice, literally mixed🙄 who does that? That was ,also nasty and tasteless. I'm posting this not to be smart to the owner but to warn anyone who's about to spend their hard-earned money looking for good food it's not at this place, don't do it. Sorry to the owner about this post but I'm just being honest and you really need to get a new cook, someone who knows about flavor and how to cook . I was very disappointed. But the staff is nice and the prices are ridiculous high for no reason. I've paid $25 for the platter and side of lima beans.

I went here for the first time on Saturday it was okay the food was okay I wanted to sit and eat but they insisted they gave it to me and told me that basically go I guess I don't know but it was all right I can't really talk her system but like I said the food was made like it was okay it could have been better but it was okay I came there today and order a beef bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a short roll with extra beef bacon and mayonnaise was highly disappointed about what I got dry sandwich no extra beef bacon red looked at spongy I just don't know it just a little eggs like come on man and it was freaking disgusting bacon was rubbery

This was my first time trying them and it was not the best experience. I feel like i wasted my money . The grits was distasteful no salt no pepper I asked for cheese and I couldn’t taste the cheese , could of made better food at home
