The entire experience at this restaurant was amazing but I have to give a special shoutout to our server Joey who was an absolute pleasure. The food was amazing, perfectly seasoned and balanced. He made the entire experience well worth it.

I love the happy hour menu. Gumbo was good. Cobb salad is good. Fried oysters are good. Fish and chips are good. The calamari is good. I need to try the burger yet

Terrible terrible-
I made an open table reservation - requested to be inside- also called and confirmed to be inside-
When we arrived they didn’t have a table for us inside- the hostess had no empathy for my prior calls or the fact that I am 8 months pregnant.
Next two people came and were sat inside- right in front of us!
Then they have the nerve to mark us as a non-show on open table.

Made reservations at 7pm at loch bar for my sister’s birthday. I got there first and since my sister was a few minutes away, the host couldn’t seat me without her. My sister arrived at 7:05pm and the host informed us that it was busy therefore we would have to wait at the bar until there is a table available. I’m not sure what is the point of a reservation, if you won’t be seated right away. The bartender was really nice and welcoming. 20 minutes later, there was an open table. The appetizers were delicious especially the mussels!!!! The caviar and potato skin were sooo good as well. The oysters were fresh & cold just how I like it. I ordered shots of clase azul for my sister’s bday and we decided to do a bump of caviar & a shot of clase azul. It was a great combo! Thank me later.

I am a neighbor of Loch Bar in Philly; just 2 blocks. I want this place to be successful since the exterior feels/looks helps a lot that corner of Broad Street. Yesterday was my 3rd visit; first two was mediocre, dirty bar, uncomfortable bar seats, just ok food, etc. I decided to give a try one more time yesterday Friday. Same mediocre food and experience than the first two visits. Maybe our philly standards of amazing restaurants are different. Hope they can improve. Despite us coming in late and ordering minutes before the kitchen closed the bartenders were wonderful. The food came out quick and absolutely delicious, I regret not coming sooner in the night for the full experience.

Next time were in Philadelphia we will definitely be coming to this place for actual dinner and trying more of the menu.
