Nice, local university bar
It's always a good time entertaining humans with music.🕺💃🕺💃
best gay bar in west philly!
They didn't let my friend in because they said his clothes were dirty
Food= The pizza is sneaky good and the burgers are fantastic. The bartenders/owners and regulars are a joy to be around. Happy hour beer prices are excellent. I love this place and can’t believe it’s not packed at all hours!
Good times with good people..what can I say? They loved the music I played, and I appreciate that.🫡🫡🫡
Very homey pub with personable staff. Food is pricey but spectacular, making it a great spot for special occasions. Full bar, plenty of spots to watch the game, plenty of U Penn/Drexel/Temple and Philly stuff on the walls, and just really chill yet classy vibes. We love it :)
I used to be a regular at Smokey Joe’s (studying nearby), often going there with friends after class for a beer and their incredibly delicious fried chicken. I always told my friends that it’s a fried chicken place disguised as a bar—the best fried chicken in Philly.
But tonight was such a huge disappointment… On the night before I leave the U.S., I was so excited that I took an Uber all the way from Center City just to have their fried chicken. I even ordered two portions. However, I got the wrong order, and the restaurant refused to remake it. I purposely skipped dinner just to save room for their fried chicken, but I ended up going home disappointed.
To add to the disappointment, the only food I got from them tonight—the cocktail—was less than mediocre. I really feel like crying🙃

10 pm kitchen close means 10 pm. None of my family ever left their posts in the culinary world a minute earlier. Shameful. Mess up an order and refuse to adjust even if the kitchen is still scheduled as open.
Ridiculous. I feel sorry for the folks who see this as quality.

My buddy who used to work at the University of Pennsylvania had recommended this place so I finally visited. Located near campus, this establishment has been around for over 90 years, so you know they have something going for them.
I ordered a Dark & Stormy cocktail to go along with the Woodsman Burger and fries. Delicious food, drink, good service and cool vibes.

What a gem right in the middle of Penn. The best pizza in Philadelphia. Great staff, live music, and a chill atmosphere.
College bar with cheap drinks. Wish they had better wine options but it is a college bar.

Unreliable, unprofessional organization. They close whenever they feel. NEVER EVER go to this place without calling ahead to confirm their closing time. Even on a Friday night when you assume they'll be open. Shameful establishment.
