Solange Caribbean Cuisine

I was excited to try but the rice wasnt flavorful but was edible and cold even with the oxtail gravy. The upgrade on roti, was hard shredded roti, not worth the $4 to me. The goat okay but salty. Oxtail was okay as well but the sauce was watery with no consistency. Last and the least the Mac n cheese, I didnt like it at all, neither did my family. I do hope they have it where it can improve, ill give it 6 months to 1 year around before I try again, if i do. Oh yeah, everything was cold nothing was hot, I ordered my food at 6 15 and can in at 630 to pick up and they close at 7 so why is everything cold? I will never know..

The food at this restaurant is very tasty and delicious the Rasta pasta is to die for very creamy and rich as well as the pepper steak is tender and juicy and flavorful😋. My favorite beverage at solange’s Caribbean cuisine is the fruit punch and passion fruit juice you should definitely try them.

Sold me a $25 platter that look like a 5 dollar platter. Tiny portion. No seasoning. Served me hard white rice purposely with no warning. Had an attitude when I wanted to replace it. Had to get my refund. Go to island taste up the street. Way better.

There’s not many Afro-Trini restaurants in the Philadelphia area so I was excited to eat from one and definitely did not let me down. Buss Up Shot, Doubles, and Rasta Pasta were very delicious, Flavorful, and big portion sizes. The owner was very professional and nice and the food reminds me of home 🇹🇹. Will be back here again

In my opinion, one of the best if not the best Caribbean Soul Food Spots in the City of Philly. The food is absolutely delicious, my favorites are the Garlic🧄 Shrimp🍤🦐 Rasta Pasta,the Cabbage, The Red Snapper🐠🐋🐟 The Oxtail and the 🍚Rice and beans

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for about nine years, but I haven’t checked out this place until recently. Been here twice so far and I’ve been impressed both times. Medium pepper steak platter with fried plantains and candied yams the first time, and medium jerk salmon platter with green beans and carrots and friend plantains. Enjoyed everything both times. Prices pretty comparable to similar places I’ve seen in the City (e.g. Island Taste just up the street, Quality Taste in West Philly on Lancaster Ave)

Excellent food drinks,deserts, The best Jamaican food I ever had everything was so fresh and well prepared and cooked and made to prefaction . They give you alot of food so nice portions. .we ordered from uber eats and when they didn't have what we wanted they notified us and let us know they ran out and asked did we want something else which shows Excellent customer service. The passionfruit juice and fruit punch very good and the carrot cake and red velvet cake Excellent. I live in the far northeast of Philly and I was surprised that uber eats delivered way up here and so glade they do with my new go to place to get the best Jamaican food and I will pass on the word for people to go for some great food and great portions and Excellent tasty food. I give it a thumbs up for sure.

The service was good and the food was delicious from jerk chicken patties which was stuffed with chicken to jerk chicken nice and tender sauce is good the shrimp and chicken Rasta pasta jumbo shrimps and jerk chicken nice portion amount everything was good

They make the best island food. Their Chana and potatoes, I can eat that like an entree all the time. That’s how good it is. The jerk chicken are well seasoned. The doubles are to die for. Oh and try the fried rice, it’s exceptional. Everything is well seasoned and yummy. The staff are awesome!
