My friends and I are on the hunt for the best happy hour in Philly and SOMO was one of the establishments on our list of places to revisit. We frequented on a "Taco Tuesday" before our HH review. Let's start with the basics - there's street parking available and two happy hour time slots Monday through Friday (4:30-6pm & 9-10pm). Aesthetically, it's a very hip vibe but romantic enough for a date night. As far as our happy hour review was concerned, the food choices were limited. I tried the FROSÉ and crispy Asian wings, both were delicious! Sadly, there were only two additional food options so we decided to order a few things off the dinner menu. We tried bruschetta, meatballs, disco fries, calamari and nachos. These items were an average of $14 each. My favorite was the meatballs, but sadly the other items missed the mark for me at the price point. Our server was friendly & attentive, which was a plus! Overall, despite the pricey bill we enjoyed the ambiance and the yummy FROSÉ is enough for me to return & try a dish off the dinner menu. I've been eyeing the braised short ribs!

First time visit. Walking to table there was a loose tile I stumbled on no big deal. Forgot about it and stumbled on way out. This place was a suggestion from a friend who when I returned home stated that tile has been loose for a minute. I did mention to hostess. We dined for brunch on a Saturday morning at 10:00am when they opened. they were out of all listed teas... Only had Lipton which was ok with me. They were out of listed Watermelon mimosa so we had pineapple. The wings were good. We also had the shrimp and grits which were not tasty and thick. The steak fajita omelette was ok. Not flavorful at all. Bland at best. The omelette came with potatoes which were very good. Overall I gave it a three. Probably would return. But I tried it so I don't have to wonder. Bill for 2 people was about $93.00+ tip. Parked right outside of restaurant on street. $2.00 for 2 hour parking .. There is a 90 minute table limit at this establishment.

Somo is one of my go to spot for late night eats and drinks in the Manayunk area. They stay open until 11 most days. It’s convenient and has a good atmosphere. Now, the food is average but it’s good. I’ve never been wowed by anything to be honest. But it’s good food. You will enjoy it. Try it for yourself. Some hits for me are the mussels, lobster ravioli, calamari and shrimp scampi. I typically order those same things. The roasted chicken is simple but good as well. Could use some extra flavor. The short rib is hit or miss. The drinks are good. They are not strong but good flavor. It used to be a bartender there he was so sweet and nice he made good drinks. This is a cool place to meet up have some good food and drinks at the bar with friends or on a first date or casual date.

Good food and service in the busy Manayunk area with nearby public parking. They take reservations, which we made a week in advance. However, they were busy when we arrived, and our reservation seemed to be more of a "call ahead" or "next available" seating arrangement.

I went for my birthday brunch and we had an amazing time. The food came out in a decent time, the servers were amazing, it was a vibe. We had a great time and we can't wait to come back.

Our reservations were for a Saturday night at 8:00 PM for 5 people. We were seated at 8:22 and where they put us, had one person sitting in a highly trafficked area. It appeared as if they did not 'reserve' a table, but instead looked to seat us once we arrived (glad we showed up 15 minutes early.) We enjoyed waiting at the bar, though our first round of beers were not cold. That aside, the bartender and our server were very good as was everyone's meal.

Came here for happy hour and there was about 6 seats at the bar. They weren’t sitting anyone until 5. Happy hour starts at 4. So I’m not sure I would ever recommend this for anyone looking for a place for happy hour.

I truly enjoyed the afternoon crowd; lively but not overwhelmingly loud. Food was spectacular. I'm definitely returning and definitely ordering the mimosa with strawberry orange juice.

Although the manager was accommodating it was annoying to have to send another steak back due not being cooked to the temperature we wanted. Second time was forced to eat the steak well done due to being hungry and not wanting to wait 20 minutes for another steak. Seems like this is an issue for this restaurant. I've had this issue multiple times but always give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt which is why by I always return

We could have researched that it would be a set Valentine's meal because we were looking forward to other food on the menu, but it was still very good! Just a little expensive. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves!
