Sor Ynez is as advertised--innovative, fresh, sustainable food. Our party of 5 immediately declared the guacamole the best we have had. Our entrees were also delicious--vegan enchiladas, shrimp, beef shoulder. I ordered a refreshing Paloma, and we topped things off with churros, which were light but strong enough to be vehicles for the cinnamon tinged chocolate. Our server was attentive and friendly. We look forward to our next visit!

Sor Ynez is a hidden gem in Fishtown! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed night out. The food was absolutely delicious—hands down the best carnitas we’ve ever had. Big shoutout to Chloe, who was the sweetest and made our experience even more special!
A wonderful take on traditional Mexican dishes, served to you by a cheerful staff. Nice indoor space, good bar and a spacious outdoor patio.
Excellent food thoughtfully designed menu and great service. A definite recomendation.

On a few visits Sor Inez is becoming one of my favorite spots in the area. They are a bit hard to spot from American but look for the patio furniture outside the large mural building. There is plenty of free parking.
The staff are very nice and the menu has some great variety depending on when you go. For example, the brunch menu is much different from the weekday lunch menu.
The guacamole is super good, especially if you don't like onions in your guacamole. Another standout dish is the chilaquiles for weekend brunch!
Simply outstanding. The tortillas alone are worth the visit. Everything from the attentive service, flavorful mixed drinks, and delicious food (we had the sikil pak, guac, fried fish tacos, birria de res, and tres leches) are a testament to the attention to detail Sor Ynéz puts into every aspect of the customer’s experience. Adding this to our yearly Philly trip’s itinerary!

Overall I’d say we were underwhelmed and found it overpriced. Service was wasn’t great. Server didn’t approach us for a while after seating and never checked in on use after. Bare minimum effort and wasn’t that busy. Food was prepared well and you could tell prepared from scratch but price was high.
We had Sikil Pak as an appetizer which was the highlight. Mixote and enmoladas were fine.

Birria tacos were lit, the mezcal old fashioned was great. Took one star off because I feel everything was overpriced.
Vegetarian options: If I were still vegan I'd probably pitch a tent nearby 😆

Great restaurant with authentic food. We had the shrimp ceviche and guac to start and both were great. The entrees were just as good, fish of the day tacos and carnitas.
oaxacan old fashion was delicious.

I have had this place on my radar a while and really wanted to love it. If you ever go, the bartender Michael is a gem, and the food is okay, but the overall atmosphere and other staff leaves something to be desired. I expected something kind and hospitable but was disappointed. Other than Michael and Riccardo, they were great.

First time coming and went for happy hour… my taste buds were on another level after trying the menu which is inspired by chef Alex who actually came to our table to chat. The happy hour menu is cheap and as a foodie I really appreciated the attention to detail on each dish i tried. The margaritas were delicious and affordable as well. The happy hour muscles and the birria / as well as the fish tacos were rediculous. On another note the servers were wonderful. Cant wait to come back!
