My wife and I went to Sorellina for dinner. We both can't understand how it is possible that the place was half empty on a Saturday night. The pizza is truly excellent, from the dough to the toppings. Possibly one of the best Neapolitan style pizza we have tried in Philadelphia. The wine and dessert were also quite good. As native Italians, we highly recommend Sorellina!

Enjoyed everything about our night at Sorellina. Showed up on a rainy night and went straight to the bar. Our bartender Chris was fantastic and attentive. Our food was even better. Can’t wait to go back again.

I want to start by saying that I love the pizza at this place, definitely the best Napoletana pizza in Philly.
Unfortunately, apart from the food, we had a terrible experience and felt not welcomed at this restaurant at all.
When we went there the restaurant was empty.
My husband and I went at around 4pm for their happy hour menu and brought our little baby with us.
We were helped by a waitress who seemed annoyed by our baby, and, made us move to different areas of the restaurant 3 times during our 1h stay.
She got even more annoyed and angry when we asked for the happy hour menu.
I want to emphasize that during our stay my baby was completely quiet, did not cry or cause any disturbance to anyone and the restaurant was empty the whole time of our stay and even when we left.
Still she made us feel uncomfortable and would not stop looking at the stroller where our baby was.
Again, the restaurant was completely empty and the stroller was not getting in anyone’s way.
Turned out to be a terrible night for us. I would appreciate it if we were told babies are not welcomed at the restaurant, instead of taking us in, and giving us such a terrible dinning experience.
Again absolutely love the food; just make sure you don't have babies/kids with you; the waitress will hate you if you do!
Oh also; if you ask for the happy hour menu she’ll get angry!

Really enjoyed our pizza and Campari cocktails! Our server Mitch was awesome.

We had high expectations but found the pizza to be nothing more than fair. We had the Brontë with pistachio pesto that was tasteless. The pizza isn’t sliced for you - instead we were given a pizza cutter that didn’t cut through the crust so we finally gave up and asked the waitress to do it, and she struggled at the table. What is the point of that? The bottom crust was so thin and soft that it didn’t hold up under the toppings.
The capponata was excellent. Otherwise, very disappointing. Oh - the noise level is off the charts. Sigh.

Mitch & Pete are amazing; and the food was even more stellar!! The ricotta stuffed pizza was spectacular. Pete even came to our table to explain the cooking process and oven. Love this place!

Arrived just before 6 specifically for happy hour (their website says 4:30-6:30) and told happy hour was only until 6. Not only is the website wrong, our waitress wouldn’t even let us get in a happy hour drink order at 5:55. We didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but even some recognition that the website is wrong or that we were technically within the 4:30-6 timeframe would have been appreciated.

Unfortunately they have also removed one of the vegetarian pizzas we really loved from the menu with no vegetarian replacement on the main menu.

We live in the neighborhood and enjoyed coming here about once a month since they opened. We like their pizza a lot! After this experience we’re not in a huge rush to return.

I don’t say this lightly, this may be the best pizza I’ve ever had. Service was excellent. Wine was great. Brussels were good as well. I don’t know how this place isn’t flooded with customers. We just came from NYC and live in Atlanta.. this is better than every meal we’ve had at either place.

Recently stumbled in here with my partner, and I can’t believe we didn’t hear about it sooner honestly.

We started with 'Nduja fritta appetizer which was a spicy sausage in a deep fried batter. Highly recommend.

I had the Diavolo pizza, which was incredible, and had just the right amount of spice from the Calabrese salami and peppers.

My partner had the Bronte pizza which has burrata, mortadella, and toasted pistachios. The combo comes together really well to create a lovely balance of flavors.

Their pizza is Neapolitan style, and had that typical soft, slightly chewy interior with a touch of char and crunch on the outside.

The vibe was perfect for a cozy Friday date night, and the staff was super friendly and attentive.

The best neopolitan pizza around. Fresh ingredients, great spot to go before a show at The Met. Can’t say enough good things about the service. A must go.

We visited on Thursday night and there were only two tables occupied. The Italian music playlist is to reconsider. Bar size is far too big comparing to the sitting area. Didn’t like how walls, tables and chairs are aesthetically matching. For the above reasons I’m giving a 4 star rating. Service though, despite the previous ratings, was fast, polite, with several follow up and suggestions concerning food and drinks. That means that owners take in consideration the comments and try to improve. We had the potato and prosciutto croche that was quite tasty but could be assorted with a basil pesto or marinara sauce dip. Let’s pass to the pizzas: Modern Neapolitan canotto style dough (cornicione a bit more chewy to my taste), cooked to perfection (top and bottom) with high quality toppings. Overall, maybe it’s the best Neapolitan style pizza in Philly very close to the authentic one.

Stopped in for dinner before a show at the MET Sunday Sept 29th. Beautiful casual Italian specializing in Pizza. Nice cocktail menu and beer selection. We shared 2 Pizzas and each had a drink, very reasonable. Server was excellent. Will make this our go to spot for Pre show dinners. Also the Cannoli's were the best ever. Seating available at the large round bar, the Pizza counter watching the pies made or table seating through out. Great time!
