Food was very well done and seasoned string beans could’ve been more sautéed the Mac and cheese was yum but it was great

I had the Salmon Stir Frye, Yams, and Mac-n-cheese. I’m normally skeptical about trying new places for food, but everything g from the service to each dish was fire. It’s about time the area has its own soul food restaurant. Really great service. A+++Parking: Free parkingWheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair ramp accessible

The family was craving some soul food, came across this spot. Staff was very courteous and welcoming. Ordered fried whiting platter w/ greens, mac and cheese, along with fish sandwiches, side of cabbage and chocolate banana pudding. The food was delicious!! One of the best I have had hands down!! Don’t sleep on this place, go get you some!!! #supportsmallbusinesses

My first time trying the food and it was not good at all. The cook was very nice however the curry chicken was barely edible. It did not taste like authentic curry. Taste like someone got a pot and just dumped a bunch of curry in it. Was on the toilet for over half an hour. The yams taste like the aluminum tray that they were in. It was so much better on the greens . I’m just highly disappointed and will never try anything else from them again. I should’ve known better when they put yello rice with curry chicken vs rice and beans. Platter was $25. Which is wayyyy too expensive for a curry chicken platter.

Walked up to place order right behind another customer. Staff walked away and never even acknowledged me. Left me standing there for at least 10 minutes. I left.

I unfortunately didn’t have a good experience with their soul food. It was way overpriced, portions were small, and turkey wings I ordered were dry, fish was dry and wings were wingdings instead of whole, Mac & cheese was horrible, where’d the cheese go? Did I mention how overpriced it was?? What a huge disappointment, maybe their Spanish food is better, but I’ll never find out. ??‍♂️

The person who picked up the phone has an attitude problem and the rice was watery, worst food I’ve tasted in years . I threw it away. I miss big boys on cottman ave . , they knew how to cook and had better customer service.

I was excited to finally try this place out. I live around the corner and I called twice before in the evening and they were out of foods that I wanted. This time I ordered in the early afternoon. Mac n cheese was old, burned and dried out. Very sad that they even thought it was ok to sell this to someone. Fish was fresh but greasy as if it came directly from the fryer onto my platter, should’ve let it drain first. Yams tasted weird. The only thing that was good was the cornbread that came with the platter and the lady that took my order was very nice which is why there’s 2 stars and not 1. I don’t know if I caught them at a bad time but they Definitely need improvement on the food.

I’m new to the neighborhood I’m so happy to see a soul food spot close by. I tried them out today and I must say that I was very pleased I will definitely be going back.

First time I ate here the food was okay I buy today and the Mac and cheese is old and burnt like come on how you gone sell something that look like this the rice over cooked and the fish isn’t fresh the first time was cool the second time was a waste of money I hope the owner reads this a tightens up the business because it does has potential give it your all and you’ll have a happy customer

Food is delicious, and excellent hospitality. Love this place and appreciate how caring the staff is to provide me with my order. When I didn’t like something they replaced it without charge. They are incredible and food is so fresh
