Southern Flames BBQ

My husband and I saw a feature story on one of the local news stations about the Market at the Fareway and decided to check it out. Well let me first start by saying to not bother going on a Sunday because most of the vendors are closed. Southern flames BBQ looked good on tv but it was anything but that so much so that upon looking at the display of the food I opted not to buy anything but my husband decided to still try it. The menu was limited undoubtedly because it was Sunday but from what was available there should have been more of an effort made into what was being served. My husband bought the half chicken, collard greens with kale and yams. The chicken was dry, the collard greens tasted like it was seasoned with a lot of vinegar and some sugar, and the yams were sparse and swimming in juice. The serving looked like what was scooped from the bottom of a pot or baking dish. I don’t know what the service or food is like during the rest of the week but I probably won’t bother to find out.

This was the toughest brisket I have every eaten, they also dont trim the excess fat on the brisket, which leads to a lot of inedible fat pieces.

ribs are great!!! sides are generous portion size. Great customer service. I will be back!!!

Great service and the food was so tender and really tasty. Will go back. This was my first time.

I wad going to order online but for your ribs you just have full slab and half slab of what though. I don't want to buy a full slab and it gets all the way to my house and it's pork ribs when I only eat beef so you need to clarify If your full and half slabs are beef or pork.

Service was decent so I won’t go too hard, but these were the driest and most overcooked smoked wings I’ve ever had. The greens had decent flavor, but were cold.

Service was pretty good but $14 dollars for just 3-4 ribs, with no sides? No thanks!!

I ate there for the 1st time last week and the food was good and the conversation with staff was great. I would go back and take someone with me. The atmosphere was a little dark (the entire facility). But that don't take away from Southern Flames BBQ. Need a map to get to your destination vs walking around.

Parking: There was a lot of parking, but if you don't get there early, you may be parking on the streets. I used a handicap spot, whewww, I lucked up.

Unfriendly staff, inaccurate information, over priced, and not tasty sides!! Ribs were dried out and I do not recommend this restaurant!! I will not be back!!

I wish I could review the food. There's few things I love more than good BBQ. Unfortunately, both times I've tried to eat here, they've screwed me.

The first time, they were busy and the service was understandably slow. But I got to the counter, ordered a rib platter, and waited my turn at the pick-up spot. When my order came up about 10 minutes later (after about 15 minutes in line) the guy said they were out of ribs.

The second time, I figured I'd be smart and we ordered ahead. When it was time to pickup the order I had to wait in the pickup area just to have the guy tell me they were out of pulled pork so he canceled my entire order ( that included more than just pork) but didn't notify me or tell me while I stood there for 10 minutes.

So I guess we'll never know how the food is.

This food is horrible,the mac has no taste, the yams just nasty,this place must be for people, who don't know how to cook...one bite the fish had a bad after taste,peach cobbler bitter....wish my 1st experience was better. No stars.

One time food last Thursday then yesterday food cool bite into my chicken seen blood! Unhappy customer.

I order a fish platter. The fish was the only good item.
The last time the Mac n cheese was amazing not this time, the potato salad was awful orange with peppers never again!!!!!
