The staff were nice and the place was fine, it's just the food I had an issue with. I ordered the pesto chicken pizza. The pizza didn't have any cheese on it, and the crust tasted pre-made, like a frozen crust. Honestly it was more like an open faced sandwich than a pizza. I would not order from here if you want standard pizza. It was also pretty lukewarm despite not being ready when I arrived and having "just come out of the oven." We honestly didn't end up eating it. I would not recommend this place or get pizza from here again.

This used to be one of the best Pizza places in Philly. Now they send every time less on everything. I work for restaurant industry and Ik everything is now expensive but for that specific reason South side Prices are what they are. It’s crazy how they send their wings really dry with no buffalo sauce.this is not the first time .

The roll was just terrible how can you have a terrible roll in South Philly..and the steak itself taste terrible.. Wow, I've passed by this place twice a day every day for 3 months now, and I finally got a chance to stop by. Incredible! Southside Pizza, at the corner of 8th and Mifflin. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere, large menu, not just pizza. The first time I got a bacon burger and cheese fries. The second time was a Tuesday so I got tacos. The third time I got the shrimp basket with fries, the menu said 21 pieces of shrimp, but they gave me 23 ? came with garlic toast. Everything I got here was absolutely delicious, and very filling. The spicy shrimp pizza is, beyond all shadow of a doubt, the greatest pizza I've ever had in my life. They've got this really good carrot cake you should check out while you're there.

not a fan of their pizza sauce, just WAY too much oregano. each slice from the other night had probably a teaspoon of large chunks of oregano under the cheese, just comically overboard. a pinch of oregano is fine but cheese pizza shouldn't be loaded up with oregano like that lol most people don't like it on pizza, that's why shaker bottles of it exist. it's supposed to be an optional condiment. a cheese pizza should taste like a cheese pizza, not an oregano cheese pizza. ditch the oregano and it'd be a good pie.
