Spice 28 is over hype they wild shrimps were so bland no seasoning at all the dry wings was great and the drinks are awesome. I give this place a 5/10 I won’t return.

Love the vibe and atmosphere, beautiful interior, food is to die for with each bite, and the service is quick and constant, the food is also well priced. Can't wait to go again.

Asian cuisine is great, service is very attentive.
I live in NJ and have patronized this establishment several times in the past few months - when I think about Asian food while in Philadelphia, Spice is my go to place. I have also dined at the NY location - excellent overall.

Cool spot. Very accommodating service for dietary restrictions! Went during peak times and it was packed. 15 minute wait not bad at all. Pad Thai was very good. Chicken w mixed vegetables good as well. Dinner w two sodas totaled $44!

Disappointing Service Despite Good Food

My coworkers and I (a group of six) decided to try Spice 28 for lunch. While the food itself was fresh, hot, and genuinely delicious, the service left a lot to be desired.

We were seated quickly, and a young woman brought us water before disappearing for about 20 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, so we were surprised at how inattentive the service was. When the waitress finally returned to take our order, she seemed annoyed by our questions about the menu.

We asked for condiments and extra napkins, but they never arrived. I also placed a to-go order for a coworker at the same time we ordered our main meals. By the time we finished eating and got the check, the to-go order still wasn’t ready—despite us being there for over an hour and a half.

While I can’t fault the quality of the food, the staff were consistently rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. If you’re planning to try this place, maybe skip the dine-in experience and just call ahead for takeout to avoid the poor service.

Go at your own risk.

It was my fourth time with staff and friends. The customer service was not great, but we enjoyed ourselves.

The hostess didn’t not say 1 word to us when we walked in.
Waiter was nice.
Food was okay. Pad Thai lacked flavor. No one checked on us again until we flagged them down and asked for the check.

Put in order for drinks and was never served. Ignored while waiters and staff continued to look at table while serving others that came afterwards. Had to walk out. Unacceptable service.

This place ranks among the top Chinese restaurants, offering generous portions at even better prices. The service is swift, the food is truly delightful, and the variety of spirits at the bar is extensive!

Been ordering from here for past 10 years and it has never disappointed. The Dan Dan noodles are legend. The dry pepper anything is to die for. One of my fave meals in all of Philly. You go here for the FOOD. Go birds.

Had a bit of a wait, but the food and drinks were phenomenal!!! One of the best happy hours in town. Even though they were crazy busy, the staff were super friendly!
