This location doesn’t exist!!! We found out the hard way, and after a couple calls they told us on the phone it’s been closed since the pandemic.

The ice cream is absolutely fantastic. Nice little atmosphere inside. Very pricey though so it is something I would go to all the time, but a nice little treat every so often. Only thing that was really disappointing was the waffle cone but a great place for awesome ice cream!

A delightful little ice cream spot in Philadelphia. Perfect for a date if you're looking to grab ice cream on the go. Solid variety of flavors and toppings, and no worries about making a mess because they provide ice cream in boxes like you'd get when you carry out Chinese food. Always a bit crowded so be prepared to wait, but it's a must-try ice cream spot!

I use to love Franklin fountain. Very expensive and line extremely long was worth it. My last few visit was horrible, they gave me more whipped cream than I asked for. They filled the bottom and top of the pint with whipped cream and too much fudge and very little ice cream. Use to love them, now I’m heart broken!!!!

I ordered a small ice cream with a waffle cone from SS Franklin Fountain - there was a small wait, and people were milling around enjoying a nice warm night. The entire atmosphere was really chill, and the ice cream just capped off the night. This was a bit pricey, and it was kind of late, so this ended up being my dinner (so it felt extra decadent and delicious). If I lived in the area, I think I'd be a repeat customer, but since I'm an out of towner, it was just a nice one-time treat.

I don't give places five stars unless they truly deserve it but this place always slaps. My favorite is hydrox cookie but last week I got a scoop of hydrox and a scoop of salted caramel and they were both delicious. You know great ice cream when you taste it.

The best ice cream ever! The butter pecan and salted caramel are both divine. The interior is tiny but the line moves quickly. Truly a destination worth the trip for dessert or anytime.

The best ice cream I've had in Philly. It's definitely overpriced and the lines are usually long but it's worth it. I like how it comes in a Chinese takeout box. My go-to is vanilla and butter pecan ice cream with brownies and chocolate fudge. Delicious!

Came here one late night while visiting in town from California it was a rainy night which I love ice cream in the rain stopped in there wasn't anyone in line guy at the front desk was a little rude when he said I could only have two samples when it's like there's no one in here dude I'm sure I can sample another one but whatever back to the story of ice cream I got the ice cream to go I got to scoops Oreo something and pumpkin really really really good and then to go boxes super cute definitely worth a try if you're in old city nothing that amazing just tasted like good ice cream

There was a long line wrapping the place on Labor Day weekend. We ordered butter pecan(was not crazy about it), hydrox cookie(was great) and honeycomb(pretty different). They were served in Chinese take out containers. The staff is great and the scoop was large.

I love the milkshakes here! It's crazy expensive, though, but definitely a fun spot to hit up during a stroll through Spruce Street Harbor Park. There was no line when I went, and hardly any wait time either!

Over priced, not bad icecream though. And the stuff was very nice

Waiting for 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my daughter and there was NO line. Poor service from the staff as they chit chatted in the back on Tuesday 6/9....had heard amazing things so we were bummed about that. Then it took another 10 minutes to make a simple float which was poorly constructed.

The cheapest person in the world must own this place. Went there late on a Saturday night, long line, 1 person working. Would make sense if they were hurting for money but charging $6 a scoop, $10 per milkshake, $ 1 FOR JIMMIES (seriously), $2 for whipped cream, I dont think they can be. Unreal. Next season theyll be charging for spoons and napkins. Go anywhere but here.

Finally got to try Franklin Fountain on my second visit to philly. The line wasn't that long this time around so my boyfriend and I decided to share a scoop of ice cream. We got the green tea flavor and it was pretty expensive. It was $7 or $8?, I forgot the price but it's pretty expensive for one scoop of ice cream. The ice cream comes in a Chinese take out box which is pretty cute. The matcha ice green was nasty. It was extremely chalky and icy; not creamy at all. I would never come back!
