Dined here twice. Both times for a birthday and the staff made it extra special each time. The service, food, and atmosphere all exceeded my expectations. Joey took great care of us and very knowledgeable of the menu. I even received a follow up call the next day thanking us for dining and asking how everything was. That’s top notch service!

Steak 48 Philadelphia. Went for our 10th anniversary with our 9 year old daughter. Have lots of family and friends in Philly and Jersey. This place was nice until they brought a 500 degree plate with our steak and our server reached over the table and almost placed it in my wife’s lap. I grabbed it to catch it from going over the ledge and it burnt 3 of my fingers badly. Another server offered burn cream later in the night when he realized I kept complaining about the burns. No incident report but we took many pictures of everyone and everything. We were off to further celebrate in Cape Cod and I was not able to get into the water (ocean) due to the burns and bacteria. Literally had to deal with bad burns for the rest of my trip which was extremely an inconvenience and ruined the quality of my trip. Lower management got involved only when we complained to the person who calls and follows up asking about our dining experience. We sent pictures to him and he acknowledged our trouble and inconvenience for the rest of our trip but he would have to get with his “supervisor”. Their response was to give us a future gift card after we relied upon them to do the right thing. This is not good customer service. They freely admit they serve 500 degree plates and they rely on their staff to “warn” people which does not happen. Their negligence is astounding! We gave them every opportunity to credit our meal and make it right but they simply did not. We’ve heard they are struggling in Philadelphia and this is probably why they cannot even credit a meal which turned out being almost $500 for a party of 3. Food was okay but not high level as we would expect and receive from other comparable restaurants. Could you imagine if my 9 year grabbed her plate and then dropped it in her lap?? Not acceptable EVER Steak 48. They know we are out of town and think we are limited in what we can do. Not the case here…we will be disputing the charges and also filing a small claims negligence suit against them asking for the max limits of $12,000 plus cost and fees. Every person we know in Philly and surrounding areas will get an email, text or call from us too telling them to avoid Steak 48. In today’s climate…we all should be mindful where we spend our dollars.

Steak 48 deserves 10 stars, not just 5! The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered many different items off the menu to try. The Martini's were so refreshing & tasty. They did not scrimp on alcohol like so many places do. The desserts were out of this world & so satisfying. The Atmosphere was beautiful and classy. The Service was impeccable! Our Waiter Mikal made me feel like I was part of the rich and famous. Mikal made me feel like he was my own personal waiter. Mikal's attention to detail was amazing. He even walked me to the bathroom arm and arm. Every one of the staff was so thorough & charming. The staff paid so much attention to detail. They even dished out our sides for us. I felt really taken care of. I actually asked if they had to go through a special schooling to learn their service, because of was so over the top impressive. I loved everything about Steak 48! I will definitely, without a doubt be a repeat customer.

I really wish i could remember our servers name but he was very welcoming and made us feel like we've known him for years. Will definitely be returning and looking for that awesome gentleman.

Great spot, first time there but heard about Steak 48 from friends. Best steak I've had in a long time. Tried a variety of dishes and it did not disappoint. Miles our waiter was incredible and offered several suggestions. I just wish we had a little more time to have dessert! But we had a reservation we had to make, 2 hours was not enough time!

Food was very delicious, our wait staff was nice but if you need accommodations look elsewhere. Restaurant claims to be accessible but our reserved table ended up on the 3rd floor and even though half our party struggles with stairs they still kept us up there. There is no mention of being multiple floors on their website or anything in their online reservation form that we needed to request an accessible table. It was super dark that one member in our group could barely see to get to the stairs and another couldn't read the menu without a flashlight. Music was very loud and completely out of place with the atmosphere this place tries to create. The food may have been delicious but it was not worth it **PLEASE NOTE: though the company has replied to my review and asked me to reach out to them it has been 8 days since I have done so with no response. I emailed 6/20 and it is now 6/28. Do not think they did anything to make this right**

The service and attention to detail was superb. The oysters were amazing. Great wedge salad Kansas City strip with the blue cheese crust excellent. Au gratin potatoes and creamed corn brûlée delicious. Yummy king crab legs. We finished with ice cream yummy. We definitely will be back. Thank you for a enjoyable dinner
