The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. We got sandwiches to take out. Good pastrami sandwiches. Meat was fresh and melted in your mouth. Excellent fries.

What happened to the chopped chicken liver? I used to get it frequently but lately the color is lighter, the texture different and it doesn't have much taste. I hope you're not mixing in some kind of filler or soy. 😕

#1. Whoever thought to shorten the hours is a putz. #2. Get a mop and some Lestoil and give that place a bath.
Ben & Irv's here i come.
What happened to your salmon salad. Used to love it. Price went up and it was saturated in mayonnaise. Never used to be like that. Very disappointed.
Store seems dirty. I think it's just needs freshing up and updated.

On Thursday I went to famous to sit and order my favorite sandwich but it was after 4 and they were cleaning up dining room. So I bought chopped liver, bread, tomato, and 4 cheese minis to take home. $33 dollars spent on liver that was going sour, and knishes that must be from a new supplier that were mushed and broken with a loose filling meant for blintzes. Jacks was my go to for food quality, not ambiance but they closed. Famous had the bakery and Ben and Irvs was so busy. Never Steve steins again. Last time to be sold chazzerai.

This place was terrible.
I wanted "real" jewish food and have been to a few other places in the city and a few in South Jersey but wanted to give this place a try.
DISGUSTING.
The chicken croquettes had white and green mold all over the tops of them which i had to bring to the attention of the employee. (who did remove them immediately). The people were not friendly or helpful at all (before i saw the moldy food) and the place was just overall run down looking.
Wound up going all the way there and walked out with a pound of corned beef which was ordered before i saw the other selections.
Just a turn off and they really need to up their game here.
Famous and the Kibitz room in Cherry Hill is definitely an entirely differerent atmosphere and well worth the slightly higher prices.

Great fruit and deli meats my favorite deli
Was here recently with my friend and ordered a Rueben. It was horrible and extremely greasy. I was also given back the wrong amount of change.
I spent $17 on the greasiest Reuben sandwich I have ever had in my life. Even if it was the best I can’t justify that price on a sandwich the size of my hand.
