Everything you want in a casual, old-school deli. Bakery items are all fresh and delicious. Haven't tried the produce, but everything looks nice. Most of the salads and items in the coolers are well-labeled, and the staff are all pretty friendly, so it's easy to ask questions and try new things. But the restaurant is where this place really shines. All the food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. So far, my gf and I have tried the Rachel, matzo ball soup, french toast, and omelet, and everything has been excellent!
The salads are exceptional; shrimp and whitefish. I return regularly. At times, I stand at the counter waiting for service as staff walk back and forth. Everyone has been helpful, answering every question I ask. I'm a new customer. I like the labeling so I know where to go. Just learned about the restaurant. I've got to find the bread.Parking: Parking in front of the Deli can be congested. Be careful.

Had not been here for quite some time. Expected the same caliber of food as I had the many times before, but came away disappointed by the experience. Despite there being only three other tables occupied the service was lackluster at best. It seemed there was only one server and she "might have had too much on her plate" as it took quite some time to both place and then receive our orders.My guest and I both ordered pastrami in different sandwiches. My guest found her grilled pastrami acceptable, but I'm not sure she wasn't just being kind. Pastrami by definition is a fatty meat and in my case extraordinarily so. It was also stringy and not so delectable as i remembered from past visits...not even close.The place felt tired and well past it's prime, although the delights cases certain appeared appetizing enough.I'm going to give steve steins the benefit of the doubt here and sat maybe this was just an off day, as every restaurant has at some point.I won't sat I will not return but if/when I do I think it will be later in the day. They just changed me $14 dollars for a corned beef sandwich. It was not a big belly buster, just a normal sized sandwich. The meat was average, nothing special. OVERPRICED AND AVERAGE

Staff was nice but needed to come around just a little bit more. Food was very good. I DID expect "hot" when ordering my pastrami on rye with mustard, but turns out cold pastrami isn't bad at all. Just never had to ask, before so I didn't think it would be a cld meat sandwich.Dietary restrictions: Kosher available.
It was the worst service I've ever had. I ordered a lox & cream cheese and they were cheap with the fish and cream cheese. Was mostly just a bagel. I couldn't believe it!!Hope they get better. It used to be a good place.

Plastic menu was very dirty. Restroom was filthy. Restroom/food storage lobby nightmare. Smoked whitefish platter was tried, Cumcuber cut last week and Lettuce the same. I will never return. Oh waitress did not know about pickled tomatoes!

I just called to order a home delivery. I have done this a ton of times. I have been a customer for 20 plus years. This will be the last time I do business with them. I was told I had to have a minimum of 6 items. That is fine so I ordered 6 items then he said the have to be 6 different items cant be a few of one. Then I added more to get to 6 different items. I was told that is not enough money. I was already aporoaching 50.00. I was told not worth his while. After over 20 years I will no longer use them. Disgusted with their attitude in Philly.Spoke to Lee who apologized and said that shouldn't have happened and to call anytime for same day delivery. I really appreciated the same day response. Mistakes happen but what is more important is how they are handled. I thought the quick sincere response was admirable and I will chalk what happened up to a rough day. No one is perfect and I am revising my review based on their quick and sincere response.
