We have lived within 5 minutes of Stockyard and finally tried it today! Wow, it was delicious. The whole pig sandwich was so flavorful . The pork had a great sweet savory flavor which played nicely with the more subtle vegetables. The only thing I would change was having it served on a more crusty bread but otherwise fantastic. The fried chicken sandwich was also busting with flavor; the sauce on it was delicious. The portions were more than generous and I had lunch and dinner as did my husband

Excellent lunch and very friendly owner. The chicken sandwich was perfection. Everything looks updated and clean. Glad they are still around and serving the best food in the area.

We put off Stockyard for a long time despite it being 100 ft from our door because our general rule is don't get take out for something we can make at home. But we were feeling lazy after a morning race and the About Us story of the owners was pretty great. Sadly, the food itself was just ok. We got the Fried Chicken Sando, the Salmon/Corn Fritters and Stockyard Fries. The Sando had some really yummy stuff going on, but the chicken itself was cooked... to... rubber. The good news is that if that chicken was better, the sandwich would have probably soared. The Fritters had no real standout flavors. They were kinda corn-y, kinda salmony, but didn't really bring anything to the table. We ended up tossing them after two bites. The Fries however were EXCELLENT. They're a unique combo of homefries with a great batter and fry. Really good. We were also gifted with a slice of delicious three-layer coconut cake. We're not dessert folk, but if you are, that's worth the trip itself. ---- So yeah: meh. Great sides and dessert but the basics were kinda wrecked. ---- As a side note, kitchens have slow periods and you can totally get bored waiting for customers. But at least put on the facade of "if you got time to lean, you got time to clean". You want to surf the internet and the kitchen is spotless (it was!)? Perfect. Just do it in the back out of sight and throw a dish towel over your shoulder when you hear the door open instead of lounging in the dining room.

Feels like the quality of this place has gone downhill. No longer a fan of this place.

Great spot for a quick bite, I've had a lot of the sandwiches on the menu and they're always yummy, if a little heavy. The one I would say avoid is the falafel banh mi - the falafel was mushy and the sandwich was a little dry and flavorless. The space is small but I've never seen it super packed, seems like most take food to go during the week for lunch.

*review specific to the breakfast sammy* I used to live near stockyard a couple of years ago. Back then I would have easily given the breakfast sandwich 5/5. You could choose to have a Philly everything muffin and chose your style of egg. Also when you chose to add stock sauce, it was drippin! Upon my visit a few days ago I was immensely excited for this experience. Unfortunately I was severely underwhelmed. Only options for the sandwich was a potato bun and a scrambled egg (in addition to adding a meat of your choice for extra $) Now while this is still fine, it no longer stands out and is virtually the same thing as a corner store sandwich for double the price. Barely any stock sauce and no more drippy yolk like how I loved before. Who knows, maybe I ordered to late and they ran out of Philly everything muffins, but I should still be able to get an egg in the style i want. overall, as someone who ordered breakfast here all the time, i would never get it again. For a whopping $9 i would have gladly spent money somewhere else and gotten more food. Very disappointing stockyard!

Came here on a Saturday night, not much of a crowd inside. There are a few tables, a restroom, and counter seating facing the storefront window. I ordered the Whole Pig Bahn Mi; they were out of the long bread for sandwiches, so I opted for a potato bun (vs a wrap). The Whole Pig Bahn Mi is absolutely packed with juicy pork and loaded with flavor. The crisp ends of the pork were my favorite. On the first bite into the sandwich, I knew this sandwich was different. It's really just so delicious. It was a little oily, but it was very easy to get past that -- think the long bread would have helped here so that'll be something to check next time. The cucumber was a nice touch here as well -- refreshing and additional crunch. Value: 5/5 Quality: 4/5 Quantity: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

Got food poisoning from the Big Texas burger. Note to self: don’t get a burger at a place known for sandwiches. They probably don’t cycle through the patties often enough. Not that I’ll be coming back.

I just left this fine establishment, while ordering my food I couldn't help but notice the gentleman at the cash register kept touching his arms and face. At one point he was digging in his nose and biting his nails. So I thought to myself ok he only touching the money. To my surprise he took a short walk into the kitchen area and grab my wings with them same hands and drop them in the deep fryer. Then he proceeded to tell his coworker, " I got it" and grab the bun to my hamburger. Needless to say Never again.
