I've been searching for great sould food in the area, unfortunately I gave this place a try. I ordered the salmon cakes, mac n cheese and yams. I have to say this is one of the worst take out places that I've ever had. Idont like to bash businesses but im really confused how they have a store with such horrible cooking. The salmon cakes were hard & burnt. The mac n cheese tasted like something from the box. The yams were pretty decent. I also ordered a slice of cake, i prob should have known better by its display. Let's just say I could only lick the icing off, the cake was spongy. Please do yourself a favor skip this place.

GREAT Food! LOVE the Turkey Wings, and the Chicken wings... Good service... the only downside.... I find myself wanting their food on Mondays and they are closed... :(

I ordered the four peice fried wings which came with two sides. Since soul food joints are famous for their mac and cheese i decided to make both my sides the mac and cheese... Big Mistake!! The Mac sucked, wasn't gooey and had stale pieces of noodle within the mac, so disappointing :( The fried wings themselves were really good, they werent just fried, they were seasoned pretty well. Also they ran out of corn bread so i was upgraded with a slice of sweet potato pie, come up.

The customer service was ok...the cleanliness of the location was good....the people were nice and the wait for the food was about 15 minutes, which is a good time compared to many other soul food places. HOWEVER! I must be honest about the food! The collard greens are good...probably some of the best I've had in Philadelphia, so I give them kudos on that...The cakes, the Lemon Pound cake and the chocolate cake were ok...tasted a little old. THE MAC WAS ABSOLUTELY WHACK...Take it off the menu if you can't make it! There was no flavor in the mac at all. If you feel like its too expensive to make and make a profit, take it off the menu! The Chicken wings were so salty I couldn't eat them...SALT IS NOT FLAVOR!!! I used a restaurant.com coupon there so im not that mad, but im not certain ill be back. If I do, it'll just be for the collard greens....try Jim and Rita's on Broad St.

I'm a very picky eater, and they have my mouth watering after eating their collard green spring rolls!! They were so good!! I would have never thought that they would be so good. Oh and the potato salad was awesome. Can't wait to taste more of their food.

We had three dishes and all were tasty: chicken fingers (for the little one), fried drumstick platter, fried whiting platter. I especially enjoyed the mac & cheese (something made it a little spicy which I loved) and it had a great cheese blend. Collards were good and 2 out of 3 loved the potato salad. It's in the neighborhood, great friendly service and cooked to order -- definitely going back.

Great food and nice atmosphere you can eat in or take out. You will not be disappointed the collard green rolls are delicious.
